For those who are here for the first time because they wanted to check out 4 Dimensions, you can connect to us on 4dimensions.org port 6000 with any telnet or mud client.

For all others, as you can probably see, this is not the actual 4 Dimensions site, but the staff blog. This is because we're currently in the middle of a server move.

2 December Mu-host went down. We have no idea what happened, but we lost all faith in them, since they're still not up. That's why we moved to another server. Our new provider, Linode, gives us a Virtual Private Server. What this means is that we can now do way more than we could ever do on Mu-host. We can now use any amount of ports we like for example, meaning that we'll finally have a beta testing port soon.

We're only halfway in the move though. The world files we have now are a restore from a backup that was at least a month old, so any recent perzes you might have ordered are temporary lost until Mu-host comes online again and we can get our files. Both buildports are still down as well until Mu-host comes online again, and we also need them for the real site (and the forum). The player files from the gameport were from a backup that was made at the midnight before Mu-host went down though, so don't hesitate to play, cause your character is recent and your advancements will be saved!

I'm glad that even though we were down for 4 days you guys (and girls of course!) are still sticking with us. In less than a hour after the game started on a temporary address, the news spread and we got a lot of players back. We love you all!

Hopefully we'll have everything back to normal in a few days. In the mean time, thank you for understanding.
