Please dont comment on how things should be coded.

I have listed features etc that I think are pretty cool, and what would be nice is a comment on whether you like it or not, and how things can be improved.

And people wonder why there is never any feedback.

What are you talking about? Stop stirring trouble Estidn. I am merely saying, dont worry about the coding aspect of whatever features we are discussing.

I would like feedback on the features of what you want implemented. Thats the feedback we are after.

I'm the same way when I code in spells or features. I'm not going to ask people how to code it I'm going to ask people what they want and then code it in. I take your input but I need to balance that out with other factors. It isn't like we don't listen to you all. Sometimes we need to take a look at the bigger picture of things. If something is to over balanced it gets corrected. Not sure what the real issue is outside of stirring up trouble.

I think it would be fun if each event was a 'parallell' event, meaning that you fought with both your normal character and a gladiator.
This would give a much fairer picture of who actually is a good pkiller, and not just depends on super equipment.

So there could be separate tournaments, but also a combined one, where you add the gladiator results to the normal arena results.

Looks like the fighting arena is dead as well since the coder doing this or was doing this isn't anymore.

Can look back at this also to help grow pbase, perhaps a new look at gladiators...

IDEA:
Everyone has an option of creating their own gladiator character, one per person. All the previous contest gladiators will be NPC's of a sort. Playable as Immortals, or perhaps others with a unique flag... Gladiator characters can battle each other to gain experience or something more prestigious, if it were a contest. Or fight rankings against the hero npc gladiators to gain money or something of that nature, to buy minor weapon/armor upgrades, mounts, pets, these things will simply more for show. It gives something to work towards.

Gladiators are already in game and primarily already coded. I'd imagine to do something of this nature would just take a few minor tweaks here and there. But it would open up a whole other aspect of the game and put everyone on more of an equal footing and it would be based entirely on skill. It would certainly in time help to see what classes are in fact the most imbalanced.

Is this idea too farfetched or something do-able without a lot of work?
Thoughts?

I think this needs to be revisited.

At one time Horus was going to create some sort of fighting league.  I created two areas specifically for this, one of which even used scripts to be able to get around.  Not sure what's going on with it.
