Well, we've got a working forum again. The way to use the forum is a bit different than our previous forum, so it will take some getting used to.
Everyone can read the forumposts, but only registered users to the website will be able to post. If we get too many spammers posting adverts and such, we'll have to change that. That would mean that only approved, registered users will be able to post. People who then have used their charactername will be approved faster then others.
But hopefully it won't come this far.
Happy posting all, and please keep it civil (meaning flamewars of any kind will not be tolerated.).
Ps. If I missed out on any board that you think might be useful to add, let me know and it might actually happen ;)

I don't know what we'd do without you. :-)
This Forum seems to be a bit harder to use than the old one, since it doesn't have all the shortcuts to bold text etc. nor the cute extras like Avatars and stuff. But at least it is nice to have a place to discuss things again.
Another drawback seems to be that we cannot have restricted Forums for certain user groups here (like we used to for Imms, Jesters, Helpers , heroes etc.) unless someone manages to figure out how to set the permissions up.
Regrettably we haven't be able to retrieve any of the old discussions, which is a real pity, since many of those threads there were very useful.
But if any of you happened to have made copies of some of the more interesting threads, we would appreciate it if you'd repost what you've got on this new Forum.

Fizban — Sat, 02/16/2008 - 07:55Hmm, it might be pretty easy to setup a normal PHP based forum on the server and point to it via the links on the left but not have the forum itself actually be part of Drupal. Not sure if that'd be better or not though in most people's eyes. Though as it uses HTML now you can still bold and italicize text, it's just not as user friendly unfortunately.

Diandra — Sat, 02/16/2008 - 08:34I think the previous forum was setup that way, but since Mord installed the drupalthing, we're gonna have to use this.
But on the previous drupalsite, Mord setup a bar at the top of the posting box, where you could click on the most used things like bold, italic, put in a link, stuff like that.
Maybe he'll be able to do that again.
