The Players' Hall of Fame

  • View
  • Outline

This is the Hall of Fame, where celebrated players of 4 Dimensions are getting a kind of immortality, by having their statue entered into the collection. You need to have done something quite out of the ordinary to get depicted in this hall. Merely reaching level 50 is not enough, since you can actually achieve that by just tagging along behind a stronger player. Nay - this hall is for those that achieved something grand all by themselves - and it doesn't have to be mere combat skill either.

Statue of Nicoli
Nicoli is the first player ever to reach level 50 in 4D. On his path there he has discovered and uncovered almost every secret in the Realms, he has been the Leader of inumerable group quests, but also defeated all the most challenging warriors and monsters in man to man combat. Already at level 30 he won the Secret Sword, and at level 49 he singlehanded defeated the mighty Boba Fett and rid him of his powerful equipment. Boba was believed to be invincible - Nicoli proved otherwise. These brave deeds, however impressive, are not the main reason why Nicoli earned his position in the Hall of Fame though. During his pursuits he has discovered and reported more bugs and typos than anybody would have thought possible, and by doing this helped in making 4D into a better environment for all players to come. For this he has also been rewarded in the usual way, and is now the owner not only of a stately mansion, but also of a private shop in the outskirts of Olde Yorke, where he sells weapons and armour captured on his travels to those that can afford them. Nicoli has set up a standard in 4D, which will be extremely hard for other players to match.

Statue of DarkWolf
DarkWolf is one of the players that made a lasting impression on the Realms. He reached the top level in an incredibly short time, and on his way there he only got killed three times (once by the Executioner in his own Clan HQ, while testing a faulty mob script, and twice by Scylla by mistake, when dragged on a "Mission Impossible" by the morts of two Imps). He is also the founder of the Sicilians - a very cool Clan, for those who wish to indulge in professional crime.
As in the case of Nicoli, Darkwolf's deeds in the Game Port are not the reason for his statue in the Hall of Fame however. He has also made a similar - and simultaneous - rocket career in the Building Port. In spite of being totally inexperienced as a Builder, Darkwolf still finished his 35 room HQ in less than 3 days, and then proceeded to finish his first real zone in equally short time. And incidentally, while building his HQ he also broke the two year old on-line record of 18 hours with 40 minutes. Maybe not very healthy, but still an achievement worth noticing... :-P
Darkwolf is no longer among us, alas. Like a firework he rocketed straight to the sky, and exploded in a shower of shooting stars, devoured by his own excessive energy. Maybe he'll return some day. Maybe he's found a new home on a distant star. Maybe he just got lost in Outer Space. But his memory will live forever here in 4D.

Statue of Garion IronHand
Garion is our oldest and most faithful player. He has been here longer than any other player, sticking with us through all the changes, when everybody else left because the going got rough. Garion isn't one to give up easily. He came to the Realms as a young boy, ignorant of the skills of war and the secrets of the zones. But he stuck out and learnt, rising in the ranks until he became one of the most powerful players in the Realms. Garion never gives up. When a puzzle in the game has him baffled, he may grumble a bit, but he sticks to it, until he finally solves the problem.
Garion is also the Founder and Leader of The Knights of the Table Round, which is a Clan exclusively for the good at heart. And this is as it should be, since Garion is one of that extremely rare kind - a GOOD guy. He is always helpful, kind, polite, patient. I don't think he has one enemy in the entire Realms. And this is the REAL reason why he is getting this statue. A game is just a game, and anybody can learn to master it. But not everybody is a GOOD guy, like Garion.
Also Garion is so far the only player to be granted an imm char solely based on his merits in the Game Port. We need sensible, mature imms to help run the game, so the Staff welcomes BELGARION to our ranks. May he rule wisely and patiently, in the same manner that he has mastered the Game as a mort.

Statue of Johas
The first time I met Johas was in Mud school, when he asked me how to get the object under the blanket in the Space Cadet's room. Newbies that ask questions like that instead of the more common "Where's the cool equip?" or "Can someone help me level?" generally turn out to be the best players. And Johas was no exception to that rule. He kept asking sensible and polite questions, he had a very good tutor in Darkwolf and he caught on fast. Although being a bit at a disadvantage because the older players had hoarded most of the good equipment, he kept at it, rising in levels, and by the time we left Beta testing he had already remorted 9 times.
Like all the top players with much to lose, he wasn't too happy at the pwipe, but he set his teeth, started to gain his old position back and after being the second player to level 30, he won the total race to level 50, in no more than 5 days. And why did he make it so fast? Well, dedication of course, but also because he has turned into a Explorer, who has mapped most of the Realms by now. And you know what? The Explorers are the ones who shall inherit the Earth. I often chat a bit with Johas late at night, which is early morning for me in Sweden, so I have come to know him pretty well by now. If he has one fault it is being a bit of a hot-head. I even heard that he's got a "Death List" of people he's gonna kill when we get the pkill code working right, so you guys had better watch out...

Statue of Inque
Inque is a true explorer. From day one, when she astounded us all by turning down the usual offers of assistance from higher level players, she has been exploring the Realms systematically and meticulously, starting with the Mud School and the four Newbie zones. From there she has moved on, rising slowly but surely in ranks, gradually moving to higher level zones. I am told that she has folders full of maps over the Realms in her home. By now I believe that there isn't a remote corner in any of the four Realms that Inque hasn't visited, she has cracked most of the puzzles and quests and gathered an astonishing collection of artifacts and high power items. And all this by her own efforts.
Ingue is always polite and kind to everybody, never bothering imms or other players, never asking for help or assistance. She is something of a loner, rarely grouping with others except to help an occasional player in need. She is very generous with the equipment she collects, but she never reveals any secrets of the Game to others. For this she is highly appreciated by the Admin, because those who blabber about the secrets of the Game in fact are not really helpful - instead they are destroying the fun and challenge of exploring for other players.
If Inque has a fault, it is a tendency to be a packrat. On one memorable occasion, she stuffed her newly acquired house with so much loot that the mud crashed when she tried to enter it. *snicker*

Statue of Cali
Cali is one of our more spectacular players. She started out as hack'n'slasher and pkiller, but has gradually matured into savouring the more subtle nuances of the game. Maybe it was the company of Inque that first started her talking to mobs? Be that as it may, as soon as she caught on, Cali soon developed into an enthusiastic solver of quests and puzzles and now is one of our most diligent collector of tokens. Cali also is a pioneer, not only as a play-tester of new zones, but by being the first mortal to give birth on 4 Dimensions. And since Cali never does anything half-heartedly, she naturally had twins! A boy and a girl - and judging from their appearance they might have different fathers... hmmm...
The most remarkable things about Cali however are her humour and endurance. While test-playing the new zone Llano Estacado, she was battered to a pulp several times by mobs that were quite a bit too tough for her. Cali just laughed, rose from the dead, retrieved her equip and attacked again. On one memorable occasion she was even killed in the Crypt directly upon death by an evil spirit that was conjured up by the cursed but powerful item she had recently died several times to acquire. Most players would have cursed, whined and complained to imm about how unfair that zone was. And what did Cali do? She laughed her head off.
I wish we had more players like Cali!

Statue of Dela
Dela, the wife of Nicoli, can well be called the First Lady of 4 Dimensions.
She isn't one of those spectacular players, who rise like a rocket in the ranks only to explode in a blaze of flames and disappear like a super-nova. Like most women, Dela is more cautious, more meticulous and more smart. And like most women, she has no need for titles and formal ranks, she does not need those outer signs to prop her ego. Dela does not lead any Clan in 4D, but she is second in command in one of the most prestigious. She is married to one of the more macho players in the Realms, and she is smart enough to let him think that HE is wearing the britches in this relation. But I bet that this tough guy isn't giving any orders to Dela!
To many of the imms Dela is a good friend, offering sensible advice and an understanding ear, when we need to discuss some new aspect of the game. To the younger players she is something of a mother figure, usually helpful and comforting, but also scolding them and smacking their bottoms occasionally when they are naughty. Dela is not a woman to take any bullshit from anybody, so any overly cocky youngsters had better beware. Consistent to her motherly appearance, Dela is also one of the first mortals to give birth to a child of her own. With parents like her and Nicoli, who knows what will become of this child...

Statue of PharGGo
PharGGo has got a bit of a reputation as the Big Bad Boy of 4 Dimensions.
While this reputation partly is well earned, it is partly a bit unfair too. When PharGGo came to this mud as a rather inexperienced youth, he was dragged into the influence of some of our criminal elements. And with tutors such as DarkWolf, Johas and Richard - who can really blame the poor kid for pretty soon turning into a juvenile delinquent and trouble-maker? So PharGGo learnt the skills and dirty tricks of pkill from some real experts and eventually developed into one of the most feared street-fighters of 4D.
Recently however, there has been some signs that he is cooling down a bit. He is generally helpful and generous to his friends, and has even been observed helping newbies, when nobody is looking. (Naturally a thing like this will be devastating to his reputation, so he'll probably curse me out for revealing his dark secret).
So - PharGGo has calmed down a bit. He might not even kill you on first sight any more - unless of course there is a Clan War going on, or he has had a few too much... *snicker*
I guess you all know by now, that PharGGo is the father of one of Cali's twins. I had high hopes that fatherhood would make the kid mature and settle down. However - his spontaneous reaction to the news was to go and make two other girls pregnant, almost simultaneously too. So, the question now is: Is this kid really incorrigible? Or do these recent exploits mean that he has achieved a higher level of wisdom: "Make Love, not War"?
In any case, these feats have earned him the title "Major Stud of 4D".

Statue of Zaade
Zaade can best be described as the leading lady of the Sicilians, since Johas' wife Amidala belongs to another Clan. The reason why she gets this statue is however neither her position nor her skills as a player - although she is a very good one. No, what is special about Zaade is her inner quality.
Zaade is always polite, soft-spoken, well-mannered and calm. She never asks favours, she never bitches, she never whines. She didn't even complain to the immortals on the memorable occasion when she was assaulted in a most unfair way by a Clan infiltrator, who was really out to get her fiance, Pharggo. We heard about the incident from other players, and when we approached her to ask if she wanted any of her equipment restored, she answered with complete composure: "No, thank you, I'm fine, my friends are helping me". Not many players would have acted in a similar way in this situation. Zaade is also a very talented Builder - a natural. Although almost totally new to building, she has produced an amazing first zone, for which she received the Builder of the Month award.
One more thing about Zaade; she is the main reason why 4D is now turning in the direction of role-play, after having been 100% hack'n'slash for a couple of years. Inspired by her example, the players are slowly but surely discovering how much fun and suspense you can get from role-playing.
So - does this "perfect lady" not have any faults? Well... maybe there is one small flaw... She is a bit fond of "kinky sex"... *snicker*

Statue of Soulstar Orsini
Ever since Soulstar found his true vocation, as a member of the Sicilian Family, he has made a rocket career in the Realms. Although still young, he has already earned a position as one of the leading Players of 4D. Not only was he the first to conquer the new zone Fenizia - (he beat even Cali to the main Quest there) - he is also one of the few to really master the very tough desert, Llano Estacado, which is said to 'separate the men from the boys'.
True enough he wasn't the first to solve the 3 hard quests there, but he was the first after the zone was changed to no-recall, no-teleport and no-summon. Which is when most players stopped going there, for fear of not finding the way out again... Sissies, hehe, but Soulstar is no sissie...
Through his exploring Soulstar has gained a deep knowledge of the 4 Realms and is now the main supplier of drugs and special objects to his Clan, hereby adding considerably to the wealth of the Sicilians and himself. He has founded a Dynasty of his own, the Orsinis, and that Dynasty has now been blessed by the arrival of an heir. (I just wish that he and Kierta would have got married before the birth). :-P
Soulstar can be very charming, with that roguish smile of his, but don't make the mistake of underestimating him - you might live to regret it (or rather die...) As the saying goes: 'Never trust an Orsini, for they speak their beguiling sweetness with forked tongues.'

Statue of Frash
Frash is a Power Player, and as such very successful. For the last year or so he has been one of the strongest player in the Realms. He has been with us for some time, although he occasionally leaves 4D, claiming that he'll never return. So far he has come back however, stronger than ever. Occasionally he leaves the Sicilian Clan too, I think it has been twice so far, one of them when he was allured by Cali to join the Saints. Frash as a Saint! - *Boggle* - Well it didn't last long, obviously...
According to the Sicilian rules you get killed and looted for deserting the Clan. However, Frash didn't get killed on any of the occasions. It was not for want of trying, apparently he was a too tough bite for them to chew. According to the Sicilian rules, you don't get reinstated in the Clan after you desert it either. Again Frash is an exception, he has been taken back into grace. Most likely the pragmatic Sicilians see the value of having such a strong torpedo in the Clan, to deal with their many enemies.
Lately Frash seems to be a reformed character though, probably caused by his true love, Moonlily. He has retired from pkilling and is occasionally even seen to be polite to the imms. He claims to be a loving, romantic, cuddly kind of guy... He even opened a Dating Service...
And true enough, Frash nowadays spends most of his time at Recall, cuddling Moonlily. But then again, he always WAS a bit lazy...

Statue of Tamica Orsini
This is the number one enchantress of the 4 Realms, Cali will have to excuse me. Tamica usually has 5 or more suitors competing for her hand, although she seems reluctant to re-marry. Rumour has it, that this stunning Gypsy dancer has been elected the woman that most male players of 4 Dimensions would like to spend the night with. Another rumour has it that she tops that list of the female players as well. But Tamica is not all body, she has brains too, and she is deeply involved in the plots and intrigues of the Sicilian Family in general and the Orsinis in particular. And you know the saying: "Never trust an Orsini"... But Tamica doesn't do the dirty work herself though - being a woman she makes others do it for her.
One of her best friends described her like this: "Tamica... a sly bitch who can make anyone do what she wants... And if she pisses you off, you can't stay mad for too long, before she makes you laugh..." (I am not sure if this is really a compliment or not, but it sounded genuinely affectionate).
One side of Tamica that perhaps not so many know is that she's a truly awesome Builder. Her first zone here, which is 200 rooms big, is not only entertaining, funny and challenging, it was also submitted with almost no errors in it.
And, as all of you who know Tamica would suspect, it's also a very naughty zone, definitely for adults only...

Statue of Zsijn
Maybe receiving the thirteenth place in the Hall of Fame is symbolic, because to some Zsijn really is bad news. Ever since he entered the 4 Dimensions, with the expressed goal of killing all female magic users, he has been a controversial player. By now he has earned a widespread reputation as the Big Bad Wolf and Bogey Man of 4 Dimensions, and he most definitely left a lasting impression on the Realms. In this aspect he is only surpassed by the 'legendary' pair, Menthon and Forrest, who by now mercifully have left 4D. Zsijn is however not your regular type of Twink Killer that states: 'I have to kill everybody, just because I am evil'. There is a lot more depth to his character than that. He may be a ruthless killer, but there is usually a logical and IC explanation to his 'vile deeds'.
So, what drives a player like Zsijn? A lust for power? Maybe? The craving for revenge? Maybe that too. But more than anything I believe that he is driven by the urge for new challenges. He likes to attack the 'unkillable' mobs, to call out the strongest players. If he dies in the process doesn't seem to matter to him. He only has one goal left - to kill Soulstar...
A player like Zsijn rarely gets very popular. It is safe to say that he has many enemies and few friends here. But it is also safe to say that he earned the respect of most - grudgingly perhaps, but the respect is still there.
And the remarkable thing is; the players that seem to respect him the most are the strongest and most experienced here. Maybe this tells you something about Zsijn. Or the players. Or both.

Statue of Turin Orsini
This statue is in remembrance of Turin Orsini, a great poet (and an even greater beer-drinker), who has by now left the Realms in frustration, because hardly anybody but himself ever roleplayed here.
The life of a Roleplayer is not easy in 4D; many get killed by Twinks, who cannot tell the difference between playing a role and the person behind that role. Others lead a lonely life, because so few respond to their efforts.
Turin however was one of the few, who was really successful, not only as a player and a Roleplayer, but as a real person with great social skills too. His char was strong, he was a respected member of the First Family of the Sicilian Clan, and he had lots of friends and few enemies here. His main role in the Sicilian Mafia was the silver-tongued con man, who could trick almost anybody out of their pants, while downing a large beer in the process. I scoffed when he first claimed that he could sell almost anything to the more gullible players. But he soon proved that this was not mere talk. I'll never forget when he started a Real Estate Agency, and sold the Dungeon of Don Meatballa as a 'luxurious and refined Mansion in quiet surroundings'. Or when he sold Imm Applications Forms, claiming to have connections with the Staff that would guarantee a favourable outcome...
I've had many a good laugh because of Turin, and it saddens me to see him go. Perhaps he will return some day, when the Roleplay here has developed a bit.

Statue of Fenix
When asked who they would prefer as company while exploring a new zone, most players choose Fenix. This is not only because he is one of the oldest and most experienced players - although that is part of it of course. Nor is it because he is one of the strongest fighters here - although that too is part of it.
I think the main reason is that Fenix can be trusted. Fenix won't stab you in the back and grab your equipment. Fenix won't bail out from a tough fight, leaving his groupmates stranded with the aggro level 68 mob. Fenix won't give up when the going gets a bit rough, not even when he DTs.
One of the proofs of this is that Fenix is still a Viking. This once great Clan had some troubles a while ago, and the members all left, like rats from a sinking ship. In fact that is what most players do here. They clan-hop like mad - for profit, for fear, for boredom, for fun. No loyalty to the Clan that took you up as a newbie and helped you along in the world. There are only a few exceptions to this sad rule, and Fenix is one of those. After all this time, through better and through worse, Fenix is still a Viking.
But the main and rare quality that Fenix possesses is, that he never whines. I don't think I ever saw a complaint from Fenix. And in a world where most players whine and bitch about every little thing, this is a quality that most Administrators value above all.

A statue of a group of funny looking people with red noses.
This is the group known as 'the Jesters'. Some love them, others hate them.
Not everybody has a sense of humour, and the Jesters sometimes get killed for their pranks by people who totally lack humour. Luckily this does not seem to bother them very much. They just pick up their noses, fart loudly, and start to plan their next practical joke. The Jesters are one of the oldest RP Groups in 4D, and one of the most successful. Other groups dwindle and die, but the Jesters prevail and the group keeps growing.
The original members were Gilgamesh, Ahriman, Fenix, Alabastor and MaccabiTA. Later additions are Omega, Siresee, Soulstar, Thotter, Azreal, Mrbass and Brutusia. Many of them still play regularly.
After Gilgamesh was forced to leave 4D for the Israelic Army, the Jesters dwindled for a while, but have been revived by their new leader Thotter, the creator of the Evil Pie Monster.
I think most players remember the time when the imms retired to the Poker Den for a lengthy game, and the Jesters took over command in the Realms for a week. Never in the history of 4D did the Admin get so spammed with complaints and whiney notes. It made us seriously consider staying in that Den for ever.
Like I said - not all people have a sense of humour...

Statue of Omega
You know what they say about Heavyweight Champions: "They never come back!" The same can be said for legendary 4D players.
Several of the old players, with statues in the Hall of Fame, have tried a comeback. They returned to find that the World had grown out of their grasp, that players they used to think of as Newbies had surpassed them in power, that nobody respected them for what they once were. They couldn't cope with the changes, they couldn't take the heat. So they left again. This time for good.
Omega is the great exception to this rule. He left for over a year, after a family quarrel in his Clan, the Sicilians. Fights over the power are not uncommon among the Mafia Families, and for a long time Omega was believed to have a permanent residence in the Potomac River, wearing concrete boots.
But he returned. Rumour has it, that he spent the time away building a fortune on weapon smuggling and other rackets in his ancestral home, Sicily. Then he came back.
Silently and discreetly he began working his way up in the ranks again. Patiently, determinedly he regained all his former strength and knowledge, and - unlike many others - also mastered the new aspects of the game.
He was the first player to get into the Tomb of Seti I.
He was the first player to capture the legendary sword Orcrist without abusing an initial bug.
Two days later he lost it all in a DT. Did he whine and complain about it? No, he made jokes, and set out to get it again. As it happens Omega quite often falls into DTs. It usually takes him less than 2 days to get all his stuff back again.
Omega is back. A little older, and a lot wiser. He's not the young Sicilian Hothead he once used to be. He's learnt to control his temper. He's learnt patience. But don't mess with him, people! This guy is lethal.

Statue of Once
How should I best describe Once? He calls himself Jackass, and maybe that is as good a description as any. (There is a story behind that name, but it would take too long to tell it here).
Once is a walking contradiction. One of his favourite pastimes is pissing people off. But, paradoxically enough, another of his hobbies is helping people out. He has more enemies, but also more friends, than any other player on the mud. He is a professional Manipulator, Mud Advocate, Con-man and Troublemaker.
But there is more to Once than this. He may have abused every bug in the game, but he also has REPORTED more bugs than any other player. He is also one of the best playtesters I have encountered, mostly because he doesn't approach the zones in the conventional ways. And so he uncovers and displays any built-in weaknesses. Too bad that he's way too lazy to build a zone himself. I bet if he ever did, it would be a kick-ass one...
He is also a very apt roleplayer, specialising in leading events, since he is a fast typer and good at multitasking. He's carried out two of our biggest RP events almost single handed, switching from one mob to another without missing a beat.
I have spent endless hours discussing, arguing and quarrelling with Once. He quite often pisses me off completely. But on the rare occasions when we are not on speaking terms, I find myself missing our quarrels.
How shall I best describe Once? Hell, I don't even know where to begin!

Statue of Kita
Or is it really a snarl? It might be a sneer instead...
Calling Kita a Bitch isn't really an insult, more like a badge of merit. Especially since she is a member of the Illustrious Bitch Club. (Other prominent members are Jee, Emory, Rayne and Lynx). Some say that Kita's bark is worse than her bite. Probably some of those that got stung by her sharp tongue would agree to that. Probably the most characteristic thing about Kita is that she has very little patience with stupidity. And - being a bitch - she makes no effort of hiding that. On the other hand, Kita doesn't run around making threats of violence or actually killing people. She doesn't need to do that to get respect. Only a fool would try to patronise Kita, or to mince words with her. And the few that try just end up looking bad themselves.
Why? Because, apart from being a Bitch, Kita is - and has been for a long time - one of our absolute top players. She has a list of Quest Flags as long as my arm. And she is usually among the first to solve any new quest that is announced.
And - in contrast to Once, another of my favourite playtesters - she does it 'the right way'. By paying attention, reading descriptions, poking and probing, until she uncoveres the clues and solves the puzzle.

Statue of Alabastor
Alabastor is no longer among us. He died, tragically and unexpectedly, on November 20th 2005, 23 years old.
Some of you may think; Do you have to DIE in the Real World nowadays to get a statue in the Hall of Fame? Nothing could of course be further from the truth. Few players deserve a statue more than he did. Alabastor was one of the more colourful players in the history of 4D. He was a born Troublemaker and in the good old days he usually had his finger in every plot and cunning scheme in the Mud, especially the ones brewed by the Sicilian Clan. And yet even his IC enemies loved him OOC, because he was also funny, intelligent, helpful, entertaining, a great listener and a true friend - in short he had amazing social skills. As member of two of the most important groups in the game, the Heroes and the Jesters, he was able to carry on his talents even when RL claims like school and work and girlfriend gave him less free time for the Mud. And he remained loyal to 4D right to the end.
So here's to Alabastor, a true Jester, who went with a BANG! not with a whimper. 4D will never forget him.

Statue of Hesara
Not all the top players of 4D make a big splash in our pond.
Some of them just go their own quiet way, achieving most of the things that more loud-mouthed players do, but without making a lot of fuss about it. Hesara is one of these quiet, sensible, good players. From day one she's been calm, polite, helpful and nice to everyone. She never causes any trouble, she never bothers the Staff with requests or complaints, she never asks for help herself. Yet she is always quick to lend a sympathetic ear or a helpful hand to anyone in trouble. Hesara rarely toots her own horn - she doesn't need to. Most people know that she belongs to the top players and Questors anyhow. Lately she's taken to roleplaying too. She's the adopted aunt of a child that was kidnapped - no, actually RESCUED from a fate worse than death. Under her thoughtful leadership Vikings has developed to one of the most successful Clans, which for instance excelled in the last Zoneflag contest, which is usually a safe sign of where the best explorers reside.
What is more, Vikings seem to have attracted a larger number of players with the same rare qualities as Hesara than any other Clans. And it is no coincidence that Jumjum chose to donate his large collection of tokens to Vikings instead of his own Clan when he left 4D.
Players of this kind are rather rare. Yet they are the dream of every Mud Administrator, not just because they don't cause any trouble themselves, but because they inspire others to an equally good behavior.

Statue of Jaros
Some say that Jaros is arrogant, and they are probably right. But if he is, it's not without cause.
He is one of the major Questors and explorers in 4D, carrying on the tradition from legends like Sen, Omega and Fenix/Singer. He has systematically gone through each zone in the Mud and quietly
done most of the major quests, many of them for the first time since the pwipe.
He's the first - and so far the only - to finish the big Alpha Centauri Quest, and has been first or second to many other big Quests. He knows the Realms like his own back pocket - including some backdoors that he really shouldn't know about.
Jaros is probably one of the biggest Troublemakers in the history of 4D, usually with some new secret scheme brewing, which is designed and destined to piss off a large number of players.
But there are other sides to Jaros too. He has uncovered and reported more bugs and broken scripts than most other players put together. And if he keeps a few of the bugs to himself as basis for his next scheme, it's at least understandable and in the tradition of other Troublemakers before him. He is after all the Leader of Chaos.
He is also among the strongest fighters and pkillers in 4D, even if he seems to have matured a bit lately and doesn't feel the urge to flex his bulging muscles as frequently as he used to.
Players like Jaros may be a thorn in the side of the Admin at times, but there is no denying that they also make the Mud a lot more interesting.

Statue of Azreal - Exodus
Exodus carries the self-chosen flag 'ASSHOLE' on his title, and it is very fitting. He does have this reputation for being a bit of an asshole, who also usually has problems to control his temper.
He has been warned, muted, smited and frozen by the Admin more than any other player and mostly this was well deserved too. Because Exodus has the temper of a pitbull; he flares up easily and never lets go. And he never knows when it is time to stop arguing.
But he is also an exceptional power player, and there is no doubt that he is the Top Dog when it comes to Pkilling. He was a bit of a late starter as a Questor, but once into it he soon excelled, and has been the first or among the first in many hard Quests.
One of his more memorable achievements was to delete his top player Exodus in a fit of rage, and then recreate and take his new char Azreal to Grand Master in the new record time of 88 days and 44 hours - which is less than it takes some players to reach their first remort. He may have had some help from his cronies, but that is yet another sign of a good player - to have good allies. And Exodus may have a lot of enemies in 4D, but he probably has at least as many friends.
In his new incarnation as Azreal, he has also matured quite a bit, and nowadays only blows his top about once a month.
And then there is the other side of him too. The side that is a registered Helper, a Jester, a Roleplay Leader, the organizer of the KOTM and one of the major bug reporters of 4D. The side that created a guide how to play all the Classes in 4D, which was published on the Website.
So yeah - I may want to smite Azreal every now and then myself, but I also value him as a good friend, a good playtester and a good bugfinder...

Statue of Tocharaeh
It may seem a bit strange to some, that a nasty old drow like Tocharaeh, who peddles dope to minors and has an army of hairy spiders as his pets, should emit this fatal attraction to most of the female players in 4D.
Perhaps it is his habit of sacrificing their male firstborns to his bug eyed Goddess Lolth? Even I have to admit that there is some merit to that idea, although I naturally resent it too, since everybody should know by now that all firstborns in 4D rightly belong to ME.
What perhaps everybody DON'T know however is, that behind the red eyes and the nasty appearance Tocharaeh is a care-bear, who is gentle with women, polite to imms, loyal to 4D, helpful to newbies, faithful to his friends and respected even by his enemies.
Ooops, I blew the cover... muhahaha. Well, Toch - perhaps you should pay me those 15% of the take in time next month, or I might reveal some even more embarrassing sides of your personality...
All kidding aside, Tocharaeh belongs to those rare players who actually roleplay in 4D, and who stay consistent to their chosen role in most situations. Roleplaying is something of an uphill task in our mud, and many of the habitual roleplayers frequently stray to other pastures, where the grass is greener and roleplay is enforced. Others, like Tocharaeh, stay, and try to work with and improve what we've got.
