Kitolani peered down at the squirming black mass in her grasp.
It was shrieking, as seemed to be its custom since she had recieved the
infant drow. She wasn't entirely sure whether it was because it was now
being seperated from its mother, could still smell Molly's breath on its
neck, or knew that the other indians called him 'Spider Bait'.
Kitolani smirked amusedly at the small banshee as it wailed and brushed
a small whisp of crystal white hair off of its brow. He was an intruiging
little being. Kit could hardly help but nibble his little pointed ears with
her lips as he sobbed. It had never occured to her that the wee thing might
actually be screaming because it was terrified that Kitolani herself was
going to take a stab at eating him. The kid probably came out of the womb
with more baggage than Kitolani could ever have anticipated. He sure did
scream more than she ever imagined she could tolerate.
Pie. Pie makes babies happy. Thotter said so. Kitolani tossed the baby
into a leather sling, tucked it tightly to her breast, and transported out.
She ambled down the misty Great Halls of Chaos toward the dining
room where she got ahold of a slice of pie. The cloaked figures quietly
eating their meals, reading, and sipping their tea looked up irritatedly.
Kitolani shrugged in pseudo-appology and stuck her pinky into the warm,
lightly-spiced sweet potato goo. She slid her finger deftly along the
child's lower lip and the screaming stuttered. Panting and blubbering, the
baby wound down, steadily being filled with fingertips of pie. She bought
another piece for herself, hoping that the pie would have the same effect
on her own shattered nerves. If not, there was always that flask of
firewater she kept tucked behind her archives. Certainly this sort of
chaotic occasion warranted a good swig. She even mused lightly of giving
some to Spider Bait. He sure seemed like he could use a good warming up.
Kitolani snuck into her quarters and shut the heavy door behind her.
Putting the pie on her candlelit desk, she turned and unlashed the leather
sling from her shoulder, tucking the baby securely under her arm. Sighing
heavily, she sat down on the floor with her legs crossed and placed the
baby in a nest of warm blankets. She'd never seen a quicker descent into
unconsiousness, and for a moment, was quite envious of such a feat. The
envy quickly gave way to darkness as Kitolani too spread out a blanket
and crashed hard. Her pie covered finger twitched gently against the
hilt of her dagger as she drempt of an advancing army of skittering spiders.

A name for Spider Bait

"Take him, before he overloads my good judgement with his shrieking!"

Kitolani unwrapped the baby from it's protective travelling coverings
and thrust the baby into her mother's breast.

"Was I this horrid when I was a lump?", Kitolani asked as she paced around
the teepee, trying to calm her frazzled composure.

"Every bit, and probably worse.", replied Kohana. She eyed Kitolani with
mild amusement and put her soft hand against the baby's face. It stopped
shrieking and peered up at Kohana with Riley's enormous bright blue eyes.

"Psh. He must sense that I'm a novice around kids.", Kito muttered. "As
long as he stays quiet, I may yet regain my good sense."

"Greenhorn." said Kohana ,with a smirk that Kitolani inherited with pride.
"This boy has a great spirit within him. He shrieks like a foul tempered
owl. Too bad the elders have already given him the name Spider bait."

"That's crap", said Kitolani, "If he's bait, then I am the hook. Let any
unnatural beast wanting to find him come. They will be the hunted. As for
the elders, since when have I ever taken what they said as law? He will
not be Spider bait for long."

"You bark up many trees, Kitolani. Make sure that you bring more than a
small axe. What is your plan if the ancient spider spirit comes seeking
the child?", Kohana puzzled.

"Same thing that I do to every spider that creeps into my path. Set it
on fire and let it crawl beneath my boot.", Kitolani retorted quietly.

Kohana noded unconvincedly and ran a fingertip along the drows' pitch skin.
"Call him Kotori, after the spirit of the screech owl", Kohana suggested. "It
would suit him well."

Kitolani mused for a moment and nodded. "I like it."
Reaching down, Kitolani kissed her mother on the forehead and then kissed
Kotori on the top of his snow-white hair.

"Thanks for keeping him tonight mother", Kitolani said. " I will be back
to fetch him as the dawn breaks."

"Excellent", replied Kohana. "You'll be just in time to make breakfast."

Popular opinion vs. Kitolani
« Reply #2 on: November 05, 2008, 11:50:37 pm »
Kitchi looked up from binding his red leather quiver and let out a war cry.
"Well if it isn't 'pisses on ashes'. What's Kitolani doing back in her own
humble dimension, let alone the pits of the Central California Valley?
Haven't you heard that we're about to fall into the ocean?", Kitchi chirped
jokingly.

"Looking for the best looking brave in seven galaxies.", retorted Kit. "How's
my favorite little brother?"

"Not as good as you are", Kitchi snickered as he motioned to the papoose Kit
had slung around her shoulder.

"Quiet you. You know under that seemingly stoic smirk, you're a proud uncle."

"Not really, Kit. I don't like the idea that you're hauling that drow around.
It's dangerous. The elders are spooked. You know how they are. He's drawing
too much attention here. He's as black as a moonless night, Kit. His ears,
eyes, hair...all of it draws negative attention. People from three tribes over
have heard that you're in possesion of a 'dark spirit child'." Kitchi frowned.

"His spirit isn't dark.", barked Kitolani. "His skin is. You'd figure our
people would see prejudice coming a mile away and at least ATTEMPT to side
step it."

"They think both your judgement and loyalties have been compromised by all of
that quantum leaping you've been doing. Who knows how you've been corrupted by
that clan of yours. You can't have two tribes, sister."

Kitolani flailed aggravatedly at the claims of the elders and ranted loudly,
" My tribe is much broader than an elect group. I'm not an elitest by any
stretch of the imagination. I'll break bread with both hookers and saints.
I have loyalty to my people, but my people are near and far. If I'm not
trusted here, then I'll have to hit the rifts to find our hidden tribes out
there."

"The elders still want to meet you in the high counsil." said Kitchi.

"Yeah, pass on that. The spawnling and I have important matters to attend to."
Kitolani frowned and dialed into a tech band she had wrapped around her wrist.
As her visage started to dissipate she called out to Kitchi, " I may still
call on you, brother. I fully expect you not to punk out on your own sister."

"Bitch, don't insult my integrity.", snapped Kitchi as he went back to binding
his beautiful red leather quiver.

Kitolani and Kotori beamed up, leaving behind the soft echoing of Kitolani's laughter.

Thanks to Fae for the squeaky clean log.  :-*

A note blows into the room.

Kitolani steps on the piece of paper with the tip of her boot as it sweeps
across the train's arrival platform.

Kitolani sweeps down and snatches the floating note as it tries once again
to escape with the fury of the wind from a passing train.

Kitolani mutters toward the crowd but stops short as she notices it has her
name written on it with ink the color of stale blood.

Read note
There is something written on it:
***************************************************************
*Hey Kitolani,                                                                                             *
*                                                                                                             *
*It's urgent, I need your help with something, would take too                              *
*long to explain in this letter.  Come QUICK!                                                    *

*(Name is to sloppy to read)                                                                       *
***************************************************************

Kitolani squints hard. It could be Hesara. The words 'urgency and Hesara'
mixed badly in Kit's mind as she made her way back along the crowds to the
rift.

A Lodge
[ Exits: w ]
There's a small, wooden lodge in the forest.  There is no furniture in here,
just the stamped earth floor, and a pile of sacks and straw in a corner,
apparently somebody's bed.
A wooden chest stands in the corner.
A fireplace made from stone is set against the east wall.

Kitolani shouts, 'Hesara!?'

Faeryl hides within the lodge.

Kitolani arrives from the west, riding a fierce painted warhorse.

Kitolani jumps off of Tenaya and she whinnies at her in warning.

Faeryl comes out from hiding and blocks the doorway.

Kitolani rests her hand on her holster and grins.

Kitolani states, 'Faeryl. Certainly not who I was expecting.'

Faeryl states, 'Well well if it isn't the one that has custody of the drow
child.'

Faeryl sneers at Kitolani.

Kitolani walks toward the fireplace and leans on the wall, still smiling.

Faeryl ask, 'Where is the child?'

Faeryl looks at Kitolani.

Kitolani states, 'Could be anywhere.'

Kitolani states, 'I've had it in the protective custody of several of my
trusted tribesmen.'

Kitolani states, 'For just such an occasion.'

Faeryl growls.

Faeryl plays with her spiders.

Kitolani walks away from the fireplace and into the center of the room.

Faeryl states, 'This is almost pointless.'

Kitolani states, 'You seem to have a mighty strong interest in the thing.'

Faeryl says, 'That I do'

Kitolani asks, 'Why don't you just find a nice man-drow to mate with?'

Kitolani states, 'Have a few of your own.'

Kitolani smirks at Faeryl.

Faeryl mutters, 'There's not ma...'

Faeryl glare icily at Kitolani.

You say, 'Lolth wants that child'

Kitolani states, 'If you're looking for the child to deliver it to your
mistress, you're going to let her down.'

Faeryl says, 'but not for sacrifice'

Kitolani states, 'She will not have it at her disposal for any means.'

Kitolani states, 'Sacrifice or slave. Not even as an honored son.'

Kitolani states, 'Her interest in the child cannot be without folly.'

Faeryl walks up to you and places her hand on your arm.

Faeryl says, 'Indeed it is not for folly'

Kitolani states, 'I can only imagine.'

Kitolani reaches over and removes your hand gingerly.

Faeryl grins.

Kitolani maintains her distance by walking back toward the fireplace.

Kitolani states, 'This is not to be bourne. The child is mine.'

Faeryl drops a black widow spider.

Kitolani shudders as their face scrunches at some horrid thought.

The spider weaves a web over the door.

Faeryl states, 'You know there is no need for weapons either.'

Kitolani stops using a cutthroat knife.

Kitolani states, 'Of course not.'

Faeryl asks, 'Where is the child?'

Kitolani looks around the lodge for any other exits.

Kitolani states, 'That's priviledged information.'

Faeryl slightly bows her head and casts a spell to paralyze Kitolani from the
waist down.

Faeryl asks, 'Really?'

Kitolani says, 'Really. You may as well paralyze my mouth next.'

Faeryl states, 'Because I would love to know where he is at.'

Kitolani states, 'I would send you to the darkest reaches of space.'

You mutter, 'before you would give the likes of me that child...'

Kitolani states, 'Look for him in a crater on the moon. Look for him behind a
billion blinding stars.'

Kitolani states, 'For he is jumping from galaxy to galaxy, as never to be
found.'

You smirk.

Faeryl walks up to Kitolani.

Kitolani looks at you.

You state, 'You may have won this time Kitolani.'

Kitolani frowns.

You say, 'But that child will be Lolth's'

Kitolani states, 'Nobody wins when Llolth is concerned.'

Faeryl places a spider on Kitolani's shoulder.

Kitolani reaches over and eats the spider, crunching loudly.

Kitolani states, 'Ew.'

Kitolani spits it out.

Faeryl smirks.

Faeryl says, 'But perhaps you are telling the truth since I haven't heard that
whing brat once yet'

Kitolani states, 'I have kept him well hidden, but if I see any unusual
traffic on the prairies, you'll be meeting me again.'

Faeryl casts a fireball at the web that has been spun in the doorway,
disintergrating it instantly.

Faeryl picks up a black widow spider.

Faeryl turns to leave.

Kitolani exclaims, 'Hey!'

Kitolani states, 'I want my legs.'

Faeryl asks, 'Oh you can't walk?'

Faeryl says, 'Such a pity'

Kitolani grins.

Kitolani states, 'Such a clever drow.'

Faeryl asks, 'perhaps you'll tell me where the child is?'

Kitolani states, 'Perhaps another time.'

Kitolani blows Faeryl a kiss.

Faeryl says, 'Don't worry about that Kitolani'

Kitolani states, 'I worry about nothing.'

Kitolani winces at her tingling legs.

Kitolani states, 'Stay off the prairie.'

Kitolani quickly scans the area.

Faeryl pulls her cloak tighter and just before bursting into spiders she
releases the paralysis.

Kitolani howls in tremendous pain and like an answering falcon, Kotori
screeches from within one of the many leather slings she is wearing.

Kitolani states, 'You're no dummy. We're going to have to hide you on
Tatooine or something, where you'll blend in with the rest of the mutants.'

Kitolani winces sadly and hitches up Tenaya onward and upward toward home.

Drows gone wild
« Reply #4 on: November 22, 2008, 03:40:55 pm »
After the Mad Max thing, Kitolani was supposed to retire from the CIIA,
not get lured back to hit the streets for more risks. Never thought
she'd ever need to rock a badge again either...but I guess interdimensional
agents seldomly have the luxury of being able to really retire. Here's why:

Faeryl glances at the Recall Board.

Faeryl reads Riley's post about A Man's Long Lost Diary.

Faeryl ventures off into the medieval time period.

Faeryl remembers the diary clue said something about a chapel.

Faeryl not really feeling like having to walk to far hopes that

the chapel in Old Yorke is the one that the diary is refering to.

Faeryl walks into the chapel.

The nun says to Faeryl, 'Welcome child, may the light embrace

you.'

Faeryl sneers at the Nun.

Faeryl raises her hand to incinerate the nun, but what she came

to the chapel for in the first place catches her eye.

Faeryl lowers her hand and walks over to the altar and picks up

a piece of note-paper.

Faeryl reads the next diary message.

Faeryl ponders over things, as she walks to the nearest bar.

Faeryl walks into the Olde Bull and Bush, and says to the

bartender, 'Got anyplace around here that you might hold

receptions at?'

The bartender looks at Faeryl.

The bartender says to Faeryl, 'Hey look miss if your looking for

answers than you'd best be purchasing something.'

Faeryl glares at the bartender, and says, 'I've already had a

rough week cut me some slack, and answer the question.'

The bartender says to Faeryl, 'Hey bitch if you don't buy

something to drink I'm going to have to throw you out.'

Faeryl growls at the bartender and says, 'I'd like to see you

try to throw me out.'

The bartender comes around the counter and rolls up his sleeves,

he looks like he really enjoys throwing people out or perhaps he

just likes fiesty women.

The bartender says to Faeryl, 'Last chance bitch before I throw

you ass out of my bar.'

Faeryl says to the bartender, 'Such a pity that you won't just

answer a simple question.'

Faeryl raises her hand and the bartender gets lifted up in the

air, she moves her hand to the side quickly as the bartender

gets thrown into the wall.

The bartender falls to the floor with a loud thud, as he lands

unconcious against the wall.

Faeryl mutters to herself, 'Why does everyone just seem to make

things harder than they are.'

Faeryl remembers her last meeting with Kitolani, and wonders if

she will be bored enough to find out where this man has been.

Faeryl's mind gets flooded with the thoughts of the drow child.

Faeryl thinks perhaps I can sabatoge this for Kitolani, and have

her walk into another trap.

Faeryl notices there is another room in the bar and walks into

the back room.

Faeryl looks around the room and notices another pile of paper

on the table in front of the sexton.

Faeryl watches the maid and the sexton for a moment, and thinks

this might be easier than expected.

Faeryl walks over to the table, pulls her hood down and takes

her long silvery hair out from under her cloak and picks up one

of the note-papers.

Faeryl reads the note paper casually, trying to get the

attention of the Sexton.

The Sexton glances at Faeryl, and moves his hand to pinch her

tush.

Faeryl winks at the Sexton.

The Sexton pushes his barstool back and says to Faeryl, 'Hey

baby wanna seat?'

Faeryl flirts with the Sexton and slides up onto his lap.

Faeryl says to the Sexton, 'You know this is a funny thing this

here diary.'

Faeryl says to the Sexton, 'If you help me change one of the

notes I'll make you one lucky guy tonight.'

The Sexton seems to get aroused at the mention of getting lucky.

The Sexton asks Faeryl, 'What would I have to do?'

Faeryl says to the Sexton, 'Well would you mind writing up a new

diary entry and than giving it to a woman name Kitolani?'

The Sexton tells Faeryl, 'He be more than glad to.'

The sexton gropes Faeryl before finding a blank piece of

note-paper and a pen to write with.

Faeryl tells the Sexton what she wants the note to say.

The Sexton writes the note.

Dear Diary,

Now I think I know the reason for wanting to love your wife

before mariage. The wedding nite was the worst nite of my life

with my wife at least.  I quietly left the house when she

finally fell asleep.  And went back to the bar, at least the

pretty maid was still there.  She actually left the bar with me

and we headed over to the Traveller's Rest Inn Room 3, was such

a long walk on the West Trade Route but after the night I had

with my wife I didn't notice the time fly by.  At least I had

more fun with the maid than the wife.

Faeryl reads over the note and says, 'That's perfect.'

The Sexton bends Faeryl backwards in a long pasionate kiss.

Faeryl says to the Sexton, 'Not now you can have more of this

cute little body later tonight at the Lodge in Sherwood forest,

honey.  But, I need to go shopping for some lingere just to make
it right.'

Faeryl slides off the Sextons lap.

The sexton smacks Faeryl's ass as she hops down.

Faeryl says to the Sexton, 'Remember give that note to Kitolani,

and I'll really make you happy tonight.'

Faeryl leaves the bar.

Faeryl thinks at least I'll never have to see him EVER AGAIN!

Faeryl makes her way to the Traveller's Rest Inn and checks

herself into room 3.

Meanwhile, back at the extremely high profile 4D Travel Agency...
Kitolani nervously stretches after her extensive stay on Endor. She'd been hiding
Kotori with the fuzzies and dreading the trip back to the plateaus.

You wave at Riley.

Kitolani slides beside Riley and leans on her slightly.

You state, 'Greetings, mama saint. Wanna have my baby?'

You grin.

Riley says, '---{@ Can I hold Kotori? @}---'

You state, 'Certainly. I also have a question for you.'

You give little Kotori to Riley.

Riley cuddles little Kotori.

You state, 'Obviously, I do not know the first thing about the boy's heritage.'

You state, 'And you're the only one I trust to fill him in where this is concerned.'

You state, 'Otherwise, he will grow up quite confused.'

Riley grins at you.

You state, 'Dark black skin and a feather in his headdress wouldn't be that far fetched.'

You state, 'The ears? They'll arouse curiosity.'

You question the situation.

Riley says, '---{@ I think it's better to know nothing about the dark elves @}---'

You state, 'That works. I seem to have turned out just fine not knowing.'

Riley cradles Kotori in her arms.

Riley says, '---{@ He is really getting big @}---'

You exclaim, 'Tell me about it. Look at my new muscles!'

You proudly flex your big, bulging muscles.

Riley giggles.

Riley says, '---{@ Aye @}---'

Riley cuddles little Kotori.

Kitolani flops down on a beanbag and enjoys having her hands free for five minutes.

Kitolani sprawls out languidly.

Kotori seems to quiet down being with Riley.

You state, 'Aaaahhhhh.'

You state, 'Sweet silence.'

Kotori catches onto his mother's jolly mood and giggles.

You state, 'Aw, he wubs you.'

You grin.

You state, 'I'm glad.'

Riley says, '---{@ Perhaps you shouldn't be so irritaed @}---'

You state, 'Hard for me not to be, babes.'

Riley says, '---{@ Kids do pick up on the moods of those around them @}---'

Riley tickles little Kotori. It squeals with laughter.

You state, 'I've got a killer on my trail, sweetness. I'm not very stoked.'

You state, 'I know he picks up on it.'

Riley says, '---{@ a Killer? @}---'

You state, 'Well, not a killer. A villan just the same.'

Riley says, '---{@ hrmm? @}---'

You state, 'Another dark elf.'

You state, 'She wants Kotori.'

Riley says, '---{@ ugghs @}---'

You state, 'For apparently, there are not enough men to breed.'

Kotori starts to cry as Riley's mood changes.

Riley comforts Kotori.

Riley says, '---{@ It's okay sweetie @}---'

Kitolani shoots a sympathetic smile at Kotori.

You state, 'I've been hiding out on every backwoods planet there is.'

Riley rocks Kotori in her arms.

You state, 'Trying to keep the kid safe.'

Kitolani reaches up and plucks a silver head from her head.

You mutter, 'What the....'

Riley says, '---{@ She won't stop anything until she gets the child @}---'

Kitolani folds her arms across her chest and nods.

You state, 'I know.'

Riley says, '---{@ and She I don't mean the dark elf @}---'

You state, 'Oh.'

Kitolani sits up and laces her boots.

You state, 'Well, I can't keep living like a criminal either.'

You state, 'Something's got to give.'

Riley says, '---{@ I'm sure your well aware of whom I refer @}---'

You state, 'I am.'

Riley says, '---{@ Kotori would be a fine possession for her to have @}---'

Riley says, '---{@ Considering what position I held @}---'

You ask, 'Surely. He looks just like you too. What better projection tool of her anger for you can you have?

Kotori falls asleep in Riley's arms.

You state, 'To be honest, Riley...I'm exhausted. Most nights I lay awake and just wish she'd come and
eat us both and get it over with so I can at least sleep.'

Kitolani curls up into a little ball on the white beanbag.

Riley says, '---{@ Kito you wouldn't want her to "kill" you @}---'

You state, 'Riley. I don't want to know what she does instead. The horrors that exist in my mind at the present are good enough.'

You shudder at the thought.

Riley says, '---{@ She'd torment you till the end of time keeping you alive with magic and inflicting
excruiating pain daily @}---'

You state, 'Oooh. Like a fine day in the abyss. She's still gotta find me first.'

Riley says, '---{@ Kito if you want to relax go have some fun and go occupy your mind with that diary
@}---'

Kitolani gets her gear together for adventure and anything unexpected.

You ask, 'Well, you were the spider things ninth arm, what do you suggest I do to keep him safe?'

Riley snickers softly at you.

Kitolani gets up slowly, still kind of sore.

You exclaim, 'Aw, don't laugh!'

You flail your arms about wildly.

Riley says, '---{@ Keep doing what you're doing @}---'

Riley says, '---{@ I can watch the kid @}---'

You state, 'Hiding. Moving. Hiding. Moving. Hiding. What a life.'

You flail your arms about wildly.

Riley says, '---{@ eventually when he gets older @}---'

Riley says, '---{@ if he hasn't already @}---'

Riley says, '---{@ I can teach him some magic @}---'

You state, 'Ok, because I don't mess with that stuff. It smells funny.'

Riley flinches in pain. Baby is kicking again!

Riley says, '---{@ well in the future it might help with that dark elf trying to do her will @}---'

You state, 'Maybe. So would a well placed bullet.'

Kitolani mutters and gets geared up to leave.

Riley says, '---{@ That Dark elf... @}---'

Riley says, '---{@ is more than just a dark elf if it was the one at the wedding @}---'

You state, 'Yeah. Spiderelfthing.'

You snort derisively.

You state, 'Probably a spawn or incarnation of the arachnid.'

Riley says, '---{@ perhaps @}---'

Kitolani tucks a red feather into her braids.

You state, 'I'm not well versed on such matters. I can keep the kid alive, and tell him how to cure th
ings with herbs.'

You state, 'But outside of teaching him how to live on the land, I'm not sure what I can do for him that can help.

Riley nods at you.

Kitolani goes on the diary quest and notices that the bartender is crashed
out at his post. Thinking him a drunkard, she proceeds and intercepts the
false diary slip, leading her right into another sticky web...

A Room In The Traveller's Rest
[ Exits: e ]
The room is small and the furniture is scarce, just two simple beds,
two Windsor chairs and a small oak table. It seems to be scrupulously
clean however, you won't find any bed bugs in THIS inn. BUT - the room
is obviously occupied, a half-open chest sits near the window and it
definitely looks like someone is sleeping under all those blankets and
covers in the left bed. Oh well - after all it IS Market Day, and the
maid in the reception DID warn you about being sold out. Better grab
that free bed quick before someone else does!
The corpse of the merchant is lying here.

Devram has arrived.

You mutter, 'This is where the diary said to go.'

This place has a nice, restful feeling for the body.

Kitolani stops short.

You state, 'Shit.'

[Faeryl]
Spiders skitter across the floor transforming themselves into a being.

Faeryl closes the door.

You state, 'I thought I smelled you.'

Faeryl grins.

Kitolani frowns bitterly.

Devram stretches his tired bones.

Faeryl mutters, 'Bringing another person eh...'

Devram says, 'well'

Kitolani crumples the false diary page and throws it toward Faeryl.

Devram says, 'she wanted me along by some reason'

Faeryl glares icily at you, you feel cold to your bones.

Devram nodnods excitedly.

You state, 'Yeah, I've needed a bit of protection these days.'

Faeryl looks at Devram.

You say, 'Can't imagine why. '

Faeryl asks, 'Protection from what?'

You ask, 'I dunno, crazies?'

You peer intently at Faeryl.

Faeryl the spiders on Faeryl's cloak skitter down across the floor towards Devram.

Devram reaches down and pats a spider.

Faeryl states, 'Where is the child Kitolani.'

[Faeryl]
The spiders start to spin a web around Devram.

You state, 'None of your concern.'

A quivering horde of maggots consumes the corpse of the merchant.

Devram rubs his chin thoughtfully and goes 'Hmmmm...'

Faeryl exclaims, 'Why do you toy with me bitch!?'

You state, 'A bitch's job, I suppose.'

Faeryl exclaims, 'TELL ME WHERE HE IS!'

You ponder over matters as they appear to you at this moment.

You nod at Devram.

You state, 'In here.'

You drop a stylish baby sling.

Kitolani escapes into hiding.

Faeryl walks over to the sling.

Faeryl kicks the sling slightly.

Faeryl glares around her.

Faeryl glares around her.

Faeryl says, 'Kito'

Faeryl states, 'Your trying my patience.'

Kitolani peeks out from behind the bed.

Faeryl extends her arm and lifts Devram up.

Devram peers intently at Faeryl, what is he looking for?

Devram asks, 'lifting me up for what purpose?'

Faeryl grins at Devram.

Faeryl asks, 'Kitolani how much do you value this bloody elf's life?'

Devram asks, 'elf ?'

Devram peers intently at Faeryl, what is he looking for?

You wince in pain, gritting your teeth as you shut your eyes tightly.

Kitolani hides further under the bed.

Devram says, 'you may discuss that matter with Tochareah, we have got an understanding'

Devram says, 'on the issue of elves'

Faeryl says, 'I'm familiar with that name'

Faeryl says, 'But he is not of the same house as I and does not concern me'

Devram says, 'besides, this shape is what the gods decided to do to me when I was cast out from the heav
ens'

Devram yawns.

Kitolani stifles a sneeze from all the dust under the bed.

Devram says, 'i am not an elf regardless'

Faeryl lets Devram fall to the ground, and in an instant over turns the bed.

Kitolani screams angrily! ARRRRRRRRRRGH!!!!!

Kitolani draws her gun and shoots!

Faeryl pulls her cape tighter around her, and bursts into many spiders.

You state, 'Bah.'

You state, 'I was hoping she'd call you an elf.'

You snicker softly.

Devram peers intently at you, what is he looking for?

Kitolani puts her gun back into the holster.

You shrug.

Devram says, 'we go somewhere else I don't feel like getting insulted'

Kitolani gets up and dusts off.

Devram pokes you in the ribs.

You state, 'Certainly.'

[Faeryl]
the spiders combine behind Kitolani

Faeryl grabs you by the wrist and yanks you towards her!

The maidservant has arrived.

This buxom young girl is used to having her bottom pinched by all and

spirits, always on the lookout for some fun.

You exclaim to the maidservant, 'Get help!'

Faeryl whispers to you, 'Give me the child or the next time we meet will be your death'

You snarl like a vicious animal.

You state, 'Death would be welcome over these constant meetings.'

Faeryl throws Kitolani to the ground.

Devram sighs loudly.

Faeryl walks east.

This place has a nice, restful feeling for the body.

You wince in pain, gritting your teeth as you shut your eyes tightly.

You state, 'And they call me a bitch.'

You snort in contempt.

Devram nods.

Devram says, 'serious issues there'

You state, 'you have no idea.'

Kitolani and Devram ramble back to the 4d Travel Agency where it's safe.

Hiding Molly's Leftovers

Elfirith insisted that Kitolani only came around when she wanted
the irritated elf servant to watch her latest pet. First Tenaya,
who had left a horrible mess in the elven forest... Trees had been
burned, squirrels had crispy fir. Elves smelled the death and it
had been reported to the elven authorites. It was Elfirith's strong
belief that Tenaya should be left in the Old West where she could
set wildfires to dry fields of open land instead. Or back in the
chaotic sector of space she had been in when she entered that rift.
Either way, Seeing a weather beaten Kitolani at his front door, dirty
and burdened down with loads of equipment and bags (one of which
appeared to be squirming) only meant one thing. It was babysitting
duty for the faithful and highly vigilant elf.
Kitolani took a knee and unloaded a pack or two and reached around
to her back, unclasping a leather harness that appeared to hold an
overgrown frog of some sorts. A mutant no doubt, and probably poisonous.
Elfirith shuddered and looked closer. Egads. This was no poisonous
frog, and he began for a moment to wish it was. 'Twas an ever lovin'
dark elf alright. Was she nuts?? He shuddered at what her explanation
was probably going to entail to why he was now going to be entertaining
the spawn of all things volatile and dark. Although, the kid was kind
of cute as you got to peering at him suspiciously long enough. His
wispy white hair was thick now, and just as wind tossed as Kitolani's.
That appeared to be the only likeness. Otherwise, he was as pitch dark
as she was white, and had the kind of huge blue eyes that echoed a vast
expanse of open sky. Kotori pursed his lips at Elifrith and gave a
slobbery raspberry in his direction.
Kitolani offered no explanations, only her gratitude as she hitched
up and headed out. Elifrith knew that he probably didn't want to know.
The old elf almost smiled down at Kotori as he dryly handed the kid a broom.

** Note this log started partially into the conversation.  Was about the time when it dawned on
me that I could turn it into a rp session towards this story line.

Setting Recall Point

You say, 'Perhaps I should give you something easier to kill'

Ronib asks, 'Are there more people you want dead?'

Faeryl mutters, 'hmm...'

Faeryl says, 'Actually perhaps not kill'

Faeryl mutters, 'Kitolani has been...'

Ronib whispers to Faeryl, 'I'd do almost anything for you, love.'

Ronib states, 'Kito, eh.'

Faeryl says, 'Can we go someplace more quiet and secluded'

Ronib rubs his chin thoughtfully and goes 'Hmmmm...'

In A Pitfall
[ Exits: u ]
Eeeek! You accidentally stepped into one of the nice little traps that the
ambitious robbers of the forest have set up for careless travellers.
Hopefully you didn't get impaled on any of the pointed stakes thrust into the
ground. Now all you need to do is to climb out of it again.
|Ronib Sarpe is standing here.

Ouch! Your left thigh is caught on one of the sharpened poles.
That really did hurt!!!!
The blood is squirting from the wound! Better heal quickly!

Ronib says, 'Shit'

Ronib says, 'Sorry'

Ronib stalks up.
You follow Ronib.
South Trade Route
[ Exits: n s w ]
Directly to the south the road is covered with branches and twigs and leaves,
as if some lumberjack had been topping the small branches off a newly felled
tree right here.  Only there is no newly felled tree around.  Curious.
|Ronib Sarpe is standing here.

Ronib asks, 'You OK?'

Faeryl nods at Ronib.

Ronib kisses Faeryl.

Trackless Swamp
[ Exits: e s w ]
You are deeper in the swamps and everything is starting to look and smell
alike.  The cold damp air makes you shiver.
|Ronib Sarpe is standing here.

Ronib nods.

Ronib quickly scans the area.

Ronib quickly scans the area.

Faeryl says, 'This seems good enough'

Ronib says, 'Nobody ever comes here'

Ronib asks, 'So - Kito?'

Faeryl states, 'As I was saying Kitolani has been very elusive with the drow child that Riley gave birth to when she was
confined on the altar of Shartrance.'

Faeryl says, 'I've been trying to get my hands on that child for some time'

Ronib states, 'Problem is - Kitolani know I'm yours.'

Faeryl frowns.

Faeryl asks, 'What if we broke up temporally?'

Ronib rubs his chin thoughtfully and goes 'Hmmmm...'

Faeryl asks, 'and had nothing to do with each other?'

Ronib says, 'We'd have to part with a bang'

Ronib says, 'I think'

Faeryl says, 'I want to get that child'

Ronib mutters, 'How about...'

Ronib says, 'You attacked me'

Faeryl exclaims, 'and she refuses every time to even give up anything!'

Faeryl rubs her chin and goes 'Hmmmm.....'

Faeryl says, 'I'm listening'

Ronib states, 'You hurt me bad.'

Ronib says, 'And the story is you think you've killed me'

Ronib states, 'And you go bragging about it.'

Ronib asks, 'What do you think?'

Ronib states, 'Nobody will suspect anything then.'

Faeryl says, 'What if I put you in a spiderweb at Recall with a little note'

Faeryl says, 'I'm sure someone would save you'

Faeryl grins.

Faeryl gives Ronib a kiss.

Ronib says, 'Problem is that's such a set-up they might suspect it's a set-up'

Ronib gives Faeryl a soft, tender kiss.

Ronib says, 'Don't you think'

Ronib whacks a grumpy troll over the head with a heavy looking sack. Ouch.

Faeryl says, 'yeah your probably right'

Faeryl says, 'perhaps I should just attack you'

Faeryl says, 'and complain about how weak you are to be a worthy mate of a drow'

Ronib states, 'That's perfect.'

Ronib states, 'I hope there is no truth in it, though.'

Faeryl says, 'Depends on if you can manage to get that child'

Ronib smiles wryly.

Faeryl says, 'but I won't hold that against you too much'

Ronib puts everything he can into the bag of Aeolus.

Ronib stops using the claws of Rahkz.

Ronib stops using Robin Hood's Official Greencoat Dagger.

Faeryl says, 'since I've failed in my attempts a few times myself'

Ronib sits down.

Ronib clambers to his feet.

Ronib states, 'Let's go back in to Odessin.'

You nod at Ronib.

Ronib scratches his head in confusion.

Ronib smiles happily.

Town Green At Main Street
[ Exits: n e s w ]
The aged cobble streets continue in a multitude of directions, flat and
unblemished except for the occasional blade of grass that has slipped through
the tiny cracks that pervade its fabrication.
|Ronib Sarpe is standing here.
A street urchin stares at you defiantly.
A shaggy mongrel whines as it sees you.
Citizen of Odessin beams a smile at yo
Citizen of Odessin beams a smile at you.
A shaggy mongrel whines as it sees you.

Ronib says, 'I'm ready, love'

Ronib sits down.

Faeryl whispers to Ronib, 'do forgive me though love and hope we can get back together soon'

Faeryl informs Ronib that she will no longer date him!

Faeryl engages in combat with Ronib!
Faeryl penetrates Ronib and bruise his right shoulder with her pierce.
Ronib has a few scratches.

Ronib blemishes Faeryls right leg with his hit.

Faeryl penetrates Ronib and bruise his torso with her pierce.

Ronib bruises Faeryls right arm with his hit.

Faeryl penetrates Ronib and abuses his abdomen with her pierce.
Faeryl penetrates Ronib and abuses his right shoulder with her pierce.
Ronib is bleeding awfully from big wounds.
Ronib is dead!  R.I.P.

Kitolani gossips, 'Aw, young love.'

Faeryl gossips, 'Good riddance to that weak fool'

Shades gossips, 'awwwww'

Faeryl gossips, 'He's not strong enough to be with me'

Ronib has arrived.

Faeryl says, 'Good luck with the task'

Ronib gives Faeryl a long and passionate kiss, it seems to take forever...

Ronib states, 'I love you.'

Faeryl gives Ronib a long and passionate kiss, it seems to take forever...

Faeryl says, 'Remember '

Ronib says, 'I can never forget'

Faeryl says, 'no contact until you fail at least'

Ronib nods at Faeryl.

As Ronib grasps the triangle, rainbow colored clouds descend from the heavens.
Ronib grabs a pink triangular ticket.

Faeryl says, 'but do try to get that kid for me'

Suddenly, with a bright flash, Ronib vanishes

Once upon a fail
Kitolani watched a stealthy streak of black race by in her peripheral.
The shadow streaked along a dimly lit wall of dancing candlelight.

"What are you hunting today, good sir?", she asked without even looking up
from the pile of notes upon her desk.

"Space bandits, of course." came a quiet whisper from behind her chair.

"While galaxy protection is paramount, I believe it's time for you to hunt
some pajamas. It's way past your bed time."

An exasperated little sigh was the only reply.

"I've got work to do little chief, and you breaking things isn't going to
help me focus."

Kotori smirked. "You're always doing paperwork. You used to be fun. Ever
since you smoked yourself with that silly spell, you've been hiding." He
mused to himself and said with an earnest innocence, " I think the trick
is to call the lightning onto the bad guys and not to your face."

Kitolani spun around in her chair and grinned at the young drow. It'd been
four or five years or so since he was dropped into her lap. Seemed aeons.
He was so cute. Good thing too, it had helped him escape being vaporized by
Kito herself on several occasions. "Put that down!" was something she said
so much that the phrase had lost all meaning.

At least he listened to his casting teacher. Apparently, Kotori was good.
It came to him much more naturally than it did to Kitolani, who was
shuddering to the core that she was going to hurt somebody else with her
magic gone wrong. A stealthy stab between the shoulders was more her style.

"Leave the magic to the fairy godmothers." she'd snort. She didn't take
kindly to coming up short in anything, but people seldomly do.

Kotori swept into the room silently in his black ninja pajamas and jumped
into Kitolani's lap, sending them both spinning across the mahogany floor
in the chair. Kotori held out his hands and glowed blue as he glided the
wayward chair back to the desk, still spinning.

"Nice." smiled Kitolani as she ruffled the little drows wild white hair.

"Don't worry big chief," Kotori chirped, "I'll teach you how to do it."

Kitolani thanked the little drow heartily and ushered him down the dark
halls to his own quarters just a sprint from hers. The other members had
really taken kindly to the small drow now that he didn't screech loudly
all through the night, and he had become less of a topic of discussion
these days since the Spider thing never showed up to prove she was any
more than a terrible myth. Kitolani finally started sleeping again, and
even let him come hunting with her every now and again. Life was good,
except that the boy's father hadn't even seen the child...deadbeat.
