Channel histories.

Currently  "gossip works... but when you try "ctell or "gtell it dosn't work at the moment but I believe that it is supposed to (the output currently is simple 'None.')
So I vote history work for all channels, so you can see missed says, ctells, gtells, hero, ooc, qsay, whisper, maybe even wiznet for imms, etc

Also tells too, because every now and then you miss stuff in battle spam and it can run off your screen. So tells and newbie would be grand as well.

"ctell or "gtell never worked. I think it's harder to make them, because they're private channels. Same with "tell.. If it IS easy to do, then sure I vote for it. But I have a feeling the reason they're not made is because "tell might have bugs with seeing other peoples tells. Like: the last 15 tells of anyone, not just yer own.

Yes, if it is too difficult or not possible then that is alright. But if it is possible I think it would be great to have.

How about modifying ctell to the clan name or something? Not sure, but typing 'clan info' by itself seems to give me the impression that clan channels are probably based on the ID there..so maybe instead of "ctell, it could be something like "dj, "chaos, with the respective channel as the ID.

I seem to remember Thotts saying (a while back) that he'd love to have "tell, but it would be too hard to do, due to the memory (or some such) it would take to keep the last x number of tells for each person.  And, Xeri, there is a "newbie - I know, I use it all the time.

"tell shouldn't be that hard, I know I coded 'hist all', 'hist goss' 'hist music' 'hist grats' 'hist say' etc. on tbaMUD before it was part of the stock codebase and it wasn't all THAT difficult. It was set so that hist <channel> showed the last 100 messages on that channel and hist all was the last 100 messages in general from all the channels.
