Gypsy's don't need it. They have an in combat skill slit now. So why would I do that after all of the pulling of teeth to get slit and thrust working? And since I know what needs to be done it won't be hard to add other skills as well.

And another thing people are allowed to disagree and not be insulted. So please keep it civil. Everyone isn't going to agree so don't bash people because their views don't align with yours. This is aimed at everyone. Getting tired of reading flames. Might need to .......

Well since all classes now have an in combat skill at t4 which out does kick I would think it is long term but I could be wrong.

Esp if you are trying to write a note or post on the board the announcements got through when usually nothing else does. Now our immortal channel does but that makes sense. We need to Poke Once with a big stick or bribe him with something to put this in. :)

CAPTCHA isn't a bad idea but even I dread when I need to do a verification since I can't read them half the time and I need to try a few times to generate one I can read. But I think it would slow down the spammers and let us see potential real forum users and not spammers.

I will look at see what needs to be done. This might need Thotter to look into.

Easy enough to make it an gm gypsy only skill which would limit it somewhat. But like I said there is a chance the gypsy can dt as well. And I would think level and skill percentage would factor in knowing Once.

As for insurance I guess we might be able to make it a silver for maybe 2 or 3 times instead of 1 to 1? What does Molly think on this?

I believe that Once is thinking about having Gypsy's have a skill that they can use to enter dt's and grab some items but there is a chance it wears off and obviously the gypsy can dt too. I think Once would need to add to this discussion or if it is relevant with the discussion.

Those are hard-coded in the mud code. I can take a peek to see where they were. When it was pushed Mike and some of the other guildmasters where vnum coded into the changes. Let me go take a peek. And I will update this post.

Look in trainers.cpp has the vnums for all of the guildmasters, etc.

I understand about class mastery but what I'm saying is a bonus and maybe negative. For example in Fallout you have a perk that makes you move faster (more action points) but you carry less weight (-50 pounds carry weight) Another example is quick learner which gives you move skills points a level but you only get perks every 4 levels instead of every 3 levels. So you get a plus but you also have a minus as well. Sorry I didn't explain myself more clearer.

You would still have class mastery but you could focus your class more. Using my example for the priest:
+ to healing spells and less mana to cast healing spells
- more mana to cast other spells outside of healing and longer delay to re-cast.
And for the other example of going the buffing route:
+ less mana to cast buffs and longer duration of buffing spells
- More mana to cast healing spells and longer delay (Can only cast any healing spell once every 30 to 60 seconds compared to healing anytime in combat)

Hopefully this will give everyone some ideas for tag ie perks. (Sorry I called them tag skills but perks is a better name or we can call them whatever)
