No, but I don't think you're productive either so it balances out.

In terms of "how we make classes more useful" that's not a very clear and easy fix. We could use some competent thought on this issue.

It's not an easy fix because no lasting fix to gameplay is going to be quick and easy.  It is an actual project that will require some sustained effort to achieve.  No one is going to waste their time making an exhaustive list of twiddled skills that will shift the imbalances around a bit until you get bored next week and stop.  I wrote up a core system that is balanced and works with the current code; the rest is much less important and can be dealt with as the core is tested and I can work out where to concentrate on expanding it.

That's complete: 15tp for the zone of an artifact no one wants.  So current artifacts remain worthless but we have destroyed the value of all future artifacts too, so it balances out.  That's how economies work.

On the other hand, the maps are immediately actionable and could be a great way of making the world more user-friendly for new players.

What do you mean by the right skills to code?  If you just bring in the 8-remort idea as is, priest/hunter will be a super class and nothing will really change.

In another port:

Fix stamina at 300 for fighters and maybe 450 for rogues to make up for their lower HP; regen at 10/sec.

Code those skills.

Tweak until balanced.

Expand to more skills and start on casters.

Incorporate 7-remorts.

All in another port so that it all works as intended and everyone understands and is happy with it before anything gets changed.

Sorry Tor but that strikes me as a selfish attitude.  If you're happy with the game as it is because you like the world and pretending to be an elf or whatever that's fine, that approach works regardless of mechanics.

However: I, along with some of the other players I have conferred with, think the gameplay is shit, which is a shame because we would like to enjoy it just as much as you clearly do.

I'm talking about new artifacts, which no one at the moment knows the locations of.

They will not have timers, so if you find one you will have it until you give it up.

If detector:high is this cheap they will all be uncovered in two weeks, entirely defeating the purpose of making new ones and undermining the effort that's been put into making them.

At a cost of 1000TP, a good player would hopefully have to put more than negligible effort into getting the zone of the next artifact that loads, which makes it about 100x easier to find it and with new, untimed artifacts floating about would be extremely valuable information.

It would also create a lot more activity than the present: 5min Punt run, sit at Recall for the next 10 artifacts.

1000TP is the absolute minimum necessary if we want these artis to be more than a 'fun two-week event'.

I don't think there's any shortage of ideas on this forum.

I would like a stamina_regen stat though, and a limit of three artifacts you can wear at one time, and for detector:high to cost no less than 1000TP.  With those three things we can get some new artis in the game.
