As it is now tinkering a weapon only last 5 days if it has no timer on it already, I personally feel it should be raised to 18000 minutes(12.5 days) to match the timer on woodsung staves.

Perhaps we could use the same idea for tinkered and poisoned weapons as for the artifacts?
I.e have the timer run longer if the weapon is left in the Clanhall?
I like the idea of promoting the Clans by making it possible to share the goodies.

I think if it is raised it should be raised through some sort of dynamicism based on skill, remorts of the tinkerer, and maybe some sort of special object you can get from trading. I'm against just changing the timer itself, but all for making the system more dynamic while upping the possibility of the timer.

I already increased the timer on tinker once. I think it used to be 3600 and I upped it to 7200. I could see making it level / tier based like woodsing is. But right now I don't really see a point of changing tinker. I think Poisoned weapons are the same length I think.

It should be level based / skill % based but not remort based.

Woodsing is pretty much level based timer.
I already moved the woodsing based timer into the tinker code. But I still don't see it being on par with woodsing.

I dont think we need to over complicate the timer with tinker unless everything is redone with tinker.
I agree it should be a level % for the timer but no skill% on the timer. It's too easy to raise the skill level of tinker.
@ Prom whats your objections to it being on par with woodsing?

I think since woodsing is a higher teir/level than tinker (when you first learn it), woodsing should be better than tinker. Just my opinion though.

@Bane -> Kvetch pretty much covered it. And the other thing is you can have lots of weapons to tinker vs tree to sing too :)

Okay I found a decent compromise for tinker. It will be depending on level if I put it in around 9000 timer for level 50.
Basically the formula is level * amt. For woodsing is was 300. For Tinker it will be around 180ish or so.
