Honestly that is probably like nothing that anyone wants to even RP for.  I've even been trying
to do some little RP initiated quests.  But it's like even trying to give out RP points as part of a
reward, imho is almost like giving them nothing.

If there was a way to perhaps even give out better rewards like perhaps a decent grade gear sets,
might even spark people to RP.  And I'm not even saying like for 200 points.  Another mud I played literally took like 2-3 months just to get one piece of gear, was the best gear in the game too but,
it made people participate in quests that the imms ran or they could do the auto quest machine.. for like 10 quest points a quest.  Needless to say people jumped more at the opportunity to participate in the imm driven quests cause you got more quest points from doing them.  The weapons were 15K Quest Points so yeah you do the math... the armor it self was cheaper.

But if the roleplayers could have something to do as well to get gear, just as your questors that want to quest.  And like I said the gear shouldn't outshine the quest gear ever since that is what this mud is built on.

I know with player houses there is really a good reason to pick and choose who can access the house.  But, when it comes to clans?  Why, do clans have to be limited to just 10 players?  Almost wonder if there could just be some work around to allow only clan members to enter or a way to increase the # of players that can have access to it.

The number of logs required to turn in increases by 1 each time for the same lousy 10 TP's and 150K experience.  So that's the basis of why I'm saying that people have real reason to go out lumber jacking.  And apparently you can't cut down magical trees at least ancient oaks  but can cut down petrified trees.  So really trees are protected atm.

Well, it's not really viable to keep on with lumberjacking since the rewards keep like exponentially decline everytime you do it... it's like the first time give me 10... second time give me 20 third give me 30... and for what all the same reward?  I'm not sure on the exact quantities but after awhile just with like anything that is repeatable... and besides there is only so many ways to kill a dead horse... if you catch my drift people lose interest in something when it starts to become work rather than enjoyment. and if they have to do more work for the same results really gets tiring more quickly.

Ability to make victim see random surrounding rooms rather than current room (like scan only forced and less temporary) (this could effectively make caster invisible to victim and would screw up victims sense of direction)

Ability to confuse the victim's directions (so player types south but goes north)

It's all fun and games till someone complains to an imm that they walked into a DT.

Here is a topic that is probably going to get flamed big time, but at the same time hopefully some good input will come from it too.

Firearm/Bow/Sling/Crossbow/Throw- Because honestly... this is more like just a RP thing than actually useful to the game in and of itself, unless damage from these is like increased due to having to carry around the ammo with you and reload.  Only really useful to skill up for the XP from leveling it up, but even that is so tedious that probably most don't do it.  Just make them reg weapons with the type of attack changed.

Minor Identify - This is just so absurd... so just going to say only really useful to skill up for the XP from leveling it up.  I would so much rather see this be as powerful as the id scrolls you have to buy, and perhaps just a T3 spell so at least it's giving that class something.

Call Lightning - AS IS... needs fixed or removed.

If you haven't guessed by now I'm a strong advocate to anything that will help promote Role-Playing, and character uniqueness.  And also relieving the imms of monotonous work, when they have better things that they could be doing to make the mud better.

Not really... I mean you do have emote which gives you free reign to do what ever you like.  And than you have Pose to do some other nasty things involving your name either in it or not in it just only due to abuse people know who is doing it.

The notion that we should somehow be censoring things to try to protect 4D's cute little PG image is a joke.  Just don't look at people if you don't like it.

From the MOTD:

I was just thinking about the Donation Room... Half the time I walk in there it's like completely empty... the other half the time it's full.  And I know it just depends on how much good will players want to give or not give, but think those greedy people that work in the Donation Pit take too much profit for themselves.

So I'm pretty much saying... why don't we get rid of the jerks that clean out the donation pit to actually save gear for the ones that need it instead of running on no gear in the donation pit. But, you are saying we've already tried that and people lag out and can't go into the pit.

The work around to that problem is this.  Let people go about normally donating items to the donation room, but once it reaches its set capacity that won't affect people getting lagged out, and not being able to log back in. They just get a message of  We can not accept your donations at this time, please allow some time for our reserves to be put to use.

I agree with Xeriuth's idea for restring.  Just cause I'm a girl... doesn't mean I want to look like all the other girls.... or caster guys... that doesn't have gender restrictions on the gear.  And you guys want to promote RPing with allowing us to buy statless gear?  Not many people really want to run around in statless gear to RP especially if they are PK.  It's like for an example that will never happen... Jason is running around in his RP gear with his other gear still on him, gets axed, and has to start all over.  Why can't he just be wearing his super awesome equipment and deal with the PK punkass right than and kill him while still in his RP gear.

I know it's something that will have to be monitored so people aren't running around with like somone's V... on their face but think it's safe to say that on the mortal side that the code can block some words from being used in the restrings short name.  You will just have to compile a blacklist for unusable words, which wouldn't really be that long of a list imho. Swear words, some anatomy parts, and perhaps a few words if used together/back to back.

But over all would really help out Role-playing and character uniqueness, which above all is drastically lacking in most games.
