Nah, that's just the only thing that levels the playing field. EVERYONE then loses all their effort. But that is the only real solution I can see if we are talking a major overhaul. No matter high remorts are screwed unless getting high number of remorts has its benefit. So all in all someone needs to come up with a means to an end. Once that's figured out then a change should be made. But just saying lets get rid of GM because we want differentialness isn't a reaon. You have to think about all consequences and everything affected by it.

But if the xp required per level was changed, What happens to people with tons of remorts? Would the extreme amount of xp required per level all the way up be then calculated out and we'd have like 160 remorts? I know that's a bit extreme, but my point is, for any real major changes you have to have just compensation for higher remorts and current GM's for example. Otherwise if there isn't just compensation we should have pwipe and have a whole new system in place. That'd be the only truly just thing, because once again everyone would start back on the same field once again, as we did 4-5 years back.
Maybe that's just how I see it?

Then you get back to the 'knight' concept. The Knight of the Month shouldn't win by fighting dirty.  Wouldnt fit the name well. ;)

Currently  "gossip works... but when you try "ctell or "gtell it dosn't work at the moment but I believe that it is supposed to (the output currently is simple 'None.')
So I vote history work for all channels, so you can see missed says, ctells, gtells, hero, ooc, qsay, whisper, maybe even wiznet for imms, etc

Remember there may be some players or perzes out there of mining equipment and perhaps other eq with special scripts that are the reason why they were added to the list. In the end, I'd think anything on the list shouldn't have any perzes of it anywhere.

I agree that gold should definitely be changed to average in levels and tier and make sense according to the difficulty of the mob.  So hopefully a good new equation will be established.

I definitely could see timers being increased on all of them.

I also still vote that artifacts be changed. If we are talking about the 'fairness factor' and that is the reason all perzes are going to be gone through and made their current stats. Then you also have to look at that in regards to timers on artifacts. I believe that all perzes of artifacts should have timers. OR timers are gotten rid of on artifacts and posibly work out new load locations, different stats (since they were changed in this port and pretty messed up, many ruined). In old port, sure they were hoarded, and without timers, sure they will be again, that's inevitable. But there will be a market again for them. That will help also help further the economy as well in my opinion.
Along the lines of this I'd say that any people that have older perzes of items on the unperzable list shouldn't have them and be given the one free perz in exchange, OR the item be taken off the items not to be perzed list. Because once again, this goes against the 'fairnes factor'.  Also that list is 4 years old, and a bit outdated in my opinion. So should most certainly be looked at.

I also agree that as long as GM exists, move brace and parry to tier 3. Rogues getting phase dodge brace and parry and while holy shield only works on long weapons (and fighters are only good with) rogue classes have a huuuuge advantage.

I'd like to see that after you have dished out the money or tradepoints and time and effort to train a skill/spell up, the next time you ever get that skill/spell whilst remorting, you should have the percentage you once had.

Fixing retreat from snare, and not trap aware in the middle of KOTM was a bad idea. Kind of ruined the entire purpose of trap aware.
I personally thought it worked fine. Retreat instead of retreating out of the room, simply retreated you from combat, and you are still snared (therefore didnt move)... at this point you could then walk east north west or south  and trap aware would kick in.  With that, the benefit of having trap aware is there.

I just feel one thing shouldn't have only been fixed without fixing the other in turn. It could have been fixed at least, just not applied to the game.
That's only my take on that issue.

I agree with Lionheart. With the contest being called KOTM (Knight of the Month). It would make sense that this contest should abide by the rules in what it takes to be a 'knight'. So really chivalry and all that jazz would come into play.. as long as it holds the name 'Knight of the Month'.  If we wanted a contest that anything goes at all, we can simply have a PK contest.
With KOTM perhaps (if coders would be up to it... or maybe can do with dg) advance the jousting skill and be able to hold jousting contests within the tournament. Make KOTM just as a medieval tournament would have gone. With a melee, jousting, etc.  Just some thoughts!

The quest channel or qsay is broken. You see yourself say something on the channel, but no one sees that you said anything. It never transfers through...

To do a complete overhaul of GM and Tiers would most likely only be compensated by a pwipe. If there is no benefit at all from remorting, and only classes differentiate anything then it sucks greatly for people with tons of remorts... as if it dosn't suck already since you get nothing after GM, and that is the only thing worthwhile gained from remorting, other than the hp benefits up to 25 remorts and a very slight decrease in damage reduction up to 50 remorts. After that you get more mana and moves still (which begins to be meaningless because it's tough to run out unless poisoned)... and you end up just having greater costs to recover.
I'd recommend that if getting rid of GM's is desired, there has to be some backbone there to make people want to get out and level, but not be totally dependent on levelling to do quests, and quests to level easier. That way people can get the best of both worlds, in turn making 4d a more desireable place to be.  That's just my take on this.
