Re: Stamina_regen stat

Has the decision to change how stamina operates been finalized? The last I saw it was just under discussion in another thread.

I still question the detector:high costing that much... Unless you've already know where it is dropped in the zone, it is still difficult to locate the arti, giving the zone one has loaded in promotes more people to explore said zones. Some of the people that know where the artis drop check them regularly anyway, no exploring needed. Keeping the cost low allows more people to be excited about the items and perhaps increases the number of active players. Isn't that the idea behind the detector anyway? It's not like the detector says go preform such and such quest for nimrod, or kill so and so. According to the web site 1000 tp has the value of 2 silver tokens.

If my "bringer of instant death" just timed out, wouldn't  I be waiting for it to load again, trying grab another before anyone else had a chance? The low setting would give me a a good clue at no cost as to when I needed to leave recall to get it.

At elevated cost, a group, working concertedly, could easily keep one player funded with trade points, that player stay on line, monitoring arti loads and inform the rest of the group. An independent player, (with the exception of the ubers) on the other hand could have a hard time not depleting their trade points, were they online enough to see multiple arti loads in a day.

*shrug* Just my two cents worth.

Me:   Tier 4, level 50, GM, Priest
   Speed 344
   Hit Points 2490

Mob:   Tier 4, level 50, Caster
   Faster than a speeding bullet
   Hit Points in the tens of thousands

I think this mob matches my tier and level. One of the easier tier 4, level 50 mobs I know of, so I definitely wouldn't think it was fighting above my level.

The mob was confused, blinded and weakened at the beginning of the fight. So it was disadvantaged, had those spells missed, the fight would have been longer.

All of its attacks missed me.

All of my auto attacks missed the mob.

Alternating different attack spells; Fireball, Acid Arrow, Chill Touch, Cone of Cold, Shocking Grasp and Lightning bolt, it took 18 spells to defeat the mob. All of the attack spells were trained to 98%. One heal was used to see how it affected the timing of the mobs attacks. With the heal the mob got 6 attacks from the last attack I made before the heal to the one cast immediately after. The mob averaged 3 attacks to my 1.

I cast 17 attack spells in total, (after confusion, blindness and weaken), and included a pause to see what happened with the auto attacks. One spell powered up, but never got a report on its damage or missing, although my mana reduced, all of the other spells hit.

My point is, with the changes being talked about, as I understand them, I would have ran out of stamina way before I was able to end this fight with a mob of the same tier and level. I'd have been stuck, pummeled mercilessly, not able to even flee.

Ah... an actual functioning check list, that would justify carrying the additional item. Would they be able to replace it, if it were somehow lost? Jaros's idea of having a mob handle the check list would also work, but I like the idea of letting them have it with them. Maybe the check list could be given to them by the mob?

Yeah, it would be a shame for the work you've put in to be for a temporary band-aid.

Yeah, a help file sounds like the way to go, to me... and something to reinforce that there are help files available for use. I'm pretty sure the help files are mentioned somewhere in the school, but some of the new players don't seem to pick up on it.

@Molly
How about thwack, where the gypsy grabs his mandolin and thwacks you on the head?
Perhaps Horus should expound on the meaning of whomp.

@Horus If a stringed instrument is used shouldn't the sound include the ringing of the instrument, it is more than just a flat object.

GW2 Plugin 1.14 with and without sound. is the soundpack of any use, when playing 4D?

I also think that Bane's post is an excellent idea. It could definitely make a difference in retaining new players.

I always feel so much reassurance when someone, trying to sell me something, tells me to trust them.  ;D

So, everyone gets the skills of their last eight remorts, a bonus for new players and those that have chosen to not do the classes they consider hard to level. And the people that have worked for the bonus of GM receive a net loss?

How does one get to place their second vote nine voters, twelve votes? The voting option doesn't seem to be available to me after I cast one vote.

@Once
Okay, maybe I'm just dense, but I need clarification on what I'm voting for... Is the fourth choice, "Make it save the last 8 remorts (aka 2 tier 4s)", changing GM to save the last 8 remorts, or doing away with GM and having everyone save the last 8 remorts?

Wow that is surprisingly little for farming. But it IS the easiest way to get tradepoints. Try lumberjacking.

It isn't up to me to disprove every outrageous claim made. It has now been about 9 hours since harvested first crop and the crops still fail at the last step.

Farming for Trade Points

Farming the eight fields north of Olde Yorke and then following the trading steps to maximize the value of the crops I raised 12 Trade points and 9000 coins in approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.

After over 2 hours since I harvested a crop, I cannot grow another. It will go through all the steps, but about harvest time, "The crop is burned black, useless and dead!" From the help files I expect this to continue for me until the mud is rebooted.
