The percentage chance of hitting with a missile is based on range and chance. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
If both ships are in the same room you cannot use the missile launcher. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

The range percentage hit chance is as follows:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
within 1 room:  100/1 = 100%&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
within 2 rooms: 100/2 = 50&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
within 3 rooms: 100/3 = 33&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
within 4 rooms: 100/4 = 25&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
within 5 rooms: 100/5 = 20&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
In addition to that, there's a 33% chance of it still missing. So at range 1 &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
you have a 66% chance hitting the target and at range 5 about 6%. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Each direct hit weakens the ship. After the given number of hits, the ship &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
will be destroyed. The crew and most of the cargo will land in the room where &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
the ship was. Without spacesuits they will perish.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
