Ships are much larger than boats, and consequently a bit safer. They can

obviously only move on water, and if you are careless and sail unto a reef,

you will be shipwrecked, which may be a nasty experience. However, sharks

and whales and other nasty creatures of the sea usually can't enter the ships.

To use a ship, enter ship, then type look out to see where you are going.

With sail <direction>, for example sail south, you'll be able to move the ship

to your destination, to disembark the ship when you arrive type leave.

Some ships already have a helmsman and travel along a given route. In this

case you have the choice to travel along with them or to try take over the

ship and sail it yourself. In the latter case you'll have to kill the

helmsman, and probably the rest of the crew too.
