Special Event Ideas

Every time we have a special event, it seems to be only double xp.  Does anyone else have any ideas of what else we could do for a special events?  I had a thought of maybe having a "multi-play" day where you could log in more than one character, since we normally don't allow it.  What else?

Multiplay would be kinda neat, I honestly wouldn't know what to do with that expect pg a few toons.



I think it would be interesting to see some type of uberzones open up for an event. Further you go in harder it gets, but make some nice rewards. Some god items with !rent or very short lived timers, some decent arti's, Possibly even chance for tokens to drop?

We do have some scripted invasion events, and also some season bound zones. They don't get used very often nowadays though.

For instance we have the Easter Egg hunt, and Kvetch's Halloween House, and I believe there is a couple of events that can be used for Christmas, (one made by Lucrete, if I remember rightly)..
There's also the witches with the moles that load on Easter or Valpurgis night.
Also there is the Goblin Castle that Belgarion built, it hasn't been open in ages.
And we have the Racecourse and the Chicken Poker Casino.

There was some discussion about Kitolani staging some Indian uproar in Old West, but I don't know what became of that.  (Would be nice to see the Indians win for a change, so let's stage Little Horn). :)

On a simpler level there are a couple of games that are supposed to be run by the Heroes:  Zedd tag, and the Alphapet game (Letters are scattered over a zone, and the player that succeeds to put the longest word together wins). Regrettably the heroes are not very active nowadays, and we are not planning to appoint any new ones either.

Once used to stage some nice events in the past, but I'm not sure if he still has the taste and time for it.
He was sort of suporior at that kind of stuff though, I remember him juggling five mobs at the same time, without ever mixing them up. (Something that I never could do myself).

Of course, if any player comes up with a good, detailed concept for an event and contacts the Staff about it, there's a good chance for it to be run, provided we like the idea. Now that we have a decent playerbase again, it would be worth the effort to run events too,
