STAVES STAFFS
Usage: wear staff
Staffs are another of the items for the equipment slot, they replace the orbs
casterclasses like to use. They allow the user to amplify their magical energy
through the staff. As with all focus items, they confer a multiplier to the
damage done by both bare hands and spells. This multiplier differs, depending
on the skill of the staff's creator and the age of the tree used. Only well
trained Gypsies can make staffs.
There's a chance the equipment you find also has some magic on it. This can
be found by using an identify scroll on the item. The notification:
This item casts: 'spell' will show which spell you can cast with the item.
