NETIQUETTE
There are some rules that apply all over the Net, and they should be observed
in 4D as well. Generally these are rules about normal behaviour and courtesy.
You should behave towards others on the net in the same way as you would face
to face. You are not as anonymous as you might think, and extremely bad
behavior can leave to consequences regarding your access to the Mud and even
to your server provider getting notified.
Some things are a bit special for the net, and should be observed for your own sake:
- USING ALL CAPS, LIKE THIS, is interpreted as screaming and considered very impolite.
- Using an excessive amount of !!!!! or ???? is also interpreted as screaming and
- considered very childish.
- Excessive and repeated use of socials can be very irritating for other people and
- should be avoided. If you want to check out what some socials do, go to a private
- room and test on a friend.
- Some socials, especially those of a sexual nature, can be offensive to the
