ASK SAY SAYTO TELL WHISPER SHOUT HOLLER

Usage: say | shout | holler <string>

tell | whisper | ask | sayto <player> <string>

The shorthand for say is '<message>.

If you consider communicating with other beings, you might be understood

better if you start your sentences with either say, tell, whisper or shout:

  • SAY sends a message to everybody in the same room as you.
  • TELL sends a message to a specific player anywhere in the mud and can not
    be seen by any others.
  • WHISPER sends a message to a specific player in the same room as you and a
message to all in the room about who whispers to who.
  • ASK sends a message to a specific player in the same room as you. If you put
a ? at the end of a say, the code also changes the word 'say' to 'ask'
    automatically.
  • SHOUT broadcasts your message to everyone in your geographic zone.
  • HOLLER broadcasts what you say to everyone in the game but costs 20 movement
    points.

You must be level 2 before you can use shout and holler.

Examples: say Hey, does anyone know how to get to Oz?

tell Jane hi, how are you?

ask Tarzan hello, how are you?

You can use ' as a shorthand for say, as in: 'hello there
