FAQ3

{cWWhy can't I buy something from the shop?{c0

There could be a few reasons for this... First, type i (short for inventory).

The first line tells you how many items you are carrying out of your maximum

possible. Are you at (or in some cases exceed) this limit? If so, you need to

decide what you can get rid of (or what you can put in a bag). If that's not

the case, then look at the second line - total weight. Is the total weight of

the objects you're carrying over your maxweight? If it is neither of these

things, then check to make sure you have enough gold (the shopkeeper usually

tells you if you don't, but you can just type gold to find out). Another reason

is you may be invisible. Most of the shopkeepers won't sell to someone they

can't see. To remedy this, type vis. This will, of course, end the spell of

invisibility so you will have to cast it upon yourself again (or do whatever

you did to be invis in the first place).

{cWWhere can I get a new feather?{c0

Ah, so you thought that feather was useless did you? Silly you. But first,

let's check to see if you actually have a feather. Type eq - are you holding

it? If so, just rem feather. If not, head on down to Barts (2 south of recall)

and say I am new here. Bart's really a sweet guy and he'll give you a new

flaming red feather.

{cWHow do I get to the Seekers guild?{c0

There are two ways to get to the seeker's guild. The first is by holding the

flaming red feather. The second is by typing recall, go south and go down

twice.

{cWWhy can't I wear certain items?{c0

Some of our items are restricted by race (why would centaurs want to wear

spurs?) and some by alignment (can you see a devil holding a cross?). Also,

certain races don't have certain body parts - example, a dwarf does not have

antennae, but a martian does. Also, some of our equipment is gained through

quests that put a flag on the player that completes that quest so only they

can use the item. See help races or help <racename> for more info.
