PLAYERHOUSES
PLAYERHOUSES
A house entails two things: access control and crash protection. Only you
and your guests will be allowed to enter the house. Your house will be
crash-saved every five minutes. You can force your house to save by typing
'save' while standing in the crashproofroom of your house. In the event of a
crash, the objects in your house as of the last crash-save will be loaded back
into your house when the MUD reboots. Guests of your house can be defined
using the HOUSE command.
The houses are not sold for gold, but for CURRENCY, which in turn can only be
obtained in three ways: questing, reporting bugs and typos, or building a
zone. The current price of a house is 5 Gold Tokens.
If you are the happy owner of a house, there are a few things you should
be aware of.
- The House Owner is responsible for the actions of their Guests.
- If you stuff your house too full with items, it may screw up the code
- or even crash the mud, and our only option may be to purge all items
- in your house. (This is due to a memory leak in the Circle code).
- Don't put any containers into other containers in a house.
- Don't EVER drop money in a house, it keeps the Mud from rebooting.
- You should not leave any 'manipulated' items in a house, this may keep
- the mud from rebooting, and again we may have to purge the contents of
- the house. Items that cause this are
- enchanted or tinkered weapons
- scribed scrolls and brewed potions
- mudmail and written notes
Poisoned weapons are okay to leave in houses.
