OLC EDIT

OLC means On Line Creation, and is a tool to make building easier.

You will be given a zone with 100 vnums (virtual numbers), 0-99.

For instance Zone # of 44 has the vnums 4400-4499.

You use the same vnums for rooms, mobs, objects, shops and scripts,

so there can be a room 4430 as well as an object or mob 4430.

You can only enter or edit a zone that you have been assigned to.

Type 'goto #500' to enter the first room of zone #.

The main OLC commands are redit, medit, oedit

  • for rooms, mobs and objects respectively.

Zedit is for resetting the mobs and objects you made into the rooms. Sedit is for making shops. You need to make the shopkeeper, the room for

the shop and the objects to sell, before you can make a shop.

Trigedit is for making scripts (triggers). You don't get this command

until level 54.

To create the first room/mob/object you type redit/medit/oedit vnum.
