CHANNELS

There are different channels that can be used. The channels have different

purpose and different grade of privacy and can also be monitored by different

groups/types of players.

LOCAL CHANNELS work only with players in the same room you are in.

Examples: emote, say, whisper

ZONE CHANNELS can be heard by all players in the same zone as you.

Example: shout

GLOBAL CHANNELS can be heard over the entire Mud sometimes limited to a

certain group of people.

Examples: auctalk, ctell, gossip, grats, gtell, hgoss, holler, newbie, wiz

The types of people that can monitor the different channels and the privacy

of the message also varies:

Everybody can monitor say, shout, holler, gossip, grats, auctalk and newbie.

Everybody in the same GROUP can monitor gsay and gtell.

Everybody in the same CLAN can monitor Ctell.

Only registered ROLEPLAYERS can monitor IC.

Only HEROES and IMMORTALS can monitor hgoss.

Only IMMORTALS can monitor wiz.

Only IMPS can monitor imptalk.

Only the RECIPIENT can monitor tell, reply, whisper.

Whisper also sends a message to the room, about who whispers to who.

Tell and reply show no message other than to the two persons involved.

For more info see each individual channel. To see how to toggle the channels
