The more you mine, the higher your mining skill will be.

The better mining tool and equipment you have, the better your chances are.

The higher your mining skill, the better equipment you can wear.

There are also several 'special items' in the mine with different abilities.

Some may teleport you to useful places, others will give you special abilities.

Yet others will make it easier to find the metal ore and the precious stones.

A pack mule may help you to transport the heavy ore to the mine entrance.

A rail cart can be used as transport, and also protects against aggro mobs.

You may accidentally dig your way out of the mine, and into an already

existing zone. If so, be careful, because you may not be able to return the

same way.
